Indurium Flake (10)

Description

I'm not out here just to stay away from people. There is a wealth of metal in the Badlands, <name>, if you have the guts to get it.

The metal's called indurium and as luck would have it, it is rumored to possess high resistance to heat and stress. It might work for Fizzle's car.

But let's make sure. Get me samples of indurium and I'll test its properties.

True indurium ore lies deep in Uldaman, but the Stonevault troggs of the Badlands sometimes have flakes of it on them. Bring me those flakes.

If you guys don't have cosmos and can't read the x and y axis.&nbsp The location of the troggs is at a place called Agmond's End just below the Valley of Fangs.

Thanks

You can do this quest at Agmond's End in Badlands, at around 50, 68, or alternatively at the back entrance to Uldaman at about 65, 43 (those mobs used to be elite before patch 2.3). The indurium flakes drop from the Troggs in these areas.

If you're Alliance you should combine this quest with Murdaloc, since you'll have to kill the same mobs for that quest.

I found them, in the middle of badlands, to the south. It was not very difficult, did it solo at lvl 39. good drop rate. got it from some stonevault bonesnappers, mostely lvl 39-41 at Agmonds end.

This quests deserves to burn in the outskirts of hell. Honestly, there is no real purpose for this.

I went to 51.70 and around there, i found myself killing the Stonevault Shaman, and Bonesnappers. After exactly 46 kills, one dropped. Then exactly 29 more, another dropped. Then in this order:

47 kills, 39 kills, 108 kills, 92 kills, 2 kills, 21 kills, 1 kill. That left me with 9 flakes. Then I kept killing them, I got up to excatly 642 kills after the 9 flakes (excluding the kills to get up to 9 flakes). No drop. This quest is artifiacilly intelligent to not give you the last drop. Finally, i got in a group with someone around the area, and got it on the first kill.

I gained 3 lvls doing this quest, and it was not worth it.

The quest text alludes to the ore itself in Uldaman.&nbsp I mined some of it, but it mines like "ore" not "flakes".&nbsp This mean it's required to kill the troggs?&nbsp Or is there somewhere to chisel down the ore into flakes for the quest?

The first part of the quest is 35. NOt the part to get the flakes. That part is labelled as 39

I found that the shaman droped more flakes then the bone dudes. Still not a great drop though. Very easy did this as a lvl 41 hunter. Good xp (3000ish) plus the kills. Worth doing. Martek is at 41, 53 exact. He aslo has you go to shimmering flats to tell Fizzle.

At 50,71 (or just click on the iridium above and then view map.. it's not there for nothing). They are Stonevault Bonesnapper and Shaman of levels ranging from 39 to 41. The drop rate is very low and just not fun anymore. It would be OK if they were just mobs or drops all around badlands (for example with the Shredder Operating Manual quest: you can just do it while doing other quests) but for&nbsp this one you just need to kill dozens of these trogs. I killed about 25 now and got 3 flakes, yay.

The camp of trogs are all level 39-40 (except quest target who is 42). however, they are spread out enough and basic enough fighters that they can be solo'ed if you're careful of where you fight and where they walk. I went through them as a 37/38 Paladin - bit of healing needed. main problem is them fleeing at low life and collecting mates to cvome back at ya.

Those coordinates are good. I found them there. I had seen them before when trying to find them. The thing that had been confusing me was that I'd been looking for the word Trogg somewhere in the name. But they're called Stonevault Skullsplitter/Shaman. LOL

Also, I took y'all's advice and watited till lvl 40 and solo'd it as a Tauren Shaman with absolutely no problem at all. It probably would have been much harder at 35 or so.

There's some stonevault troggs lvl 39-40 just above Theldurin The Lost that dropps Indurium flakes. Though they're called Stonevault shaman and such.

In the center of the Badlands map, you will see two groups of mountains, one above the other.&nbsp On the southern slope of the top group is the questgiver.&nbsp On the southeastern slope of the bottom group are the troggs you have to kill.

The drop rate is horrid, but that just means more experience from grinding.&nbsp I wouldn't recommend this quest until at least 39-40.&nbsp I solo'ed it as a lvl 41 Feral Druid with virtually no problems, although I almost died once or twice when the guy I was on ran off and pulled two or three others onto me.

When you complete this quest, you're given another quest to go back to the original quest giver in Shimmering Flats it's a simple runner quest (but you have to run literally across the world).

This quest isn't really that bad. I got about a 44% drop rate. The monbs aren't particularly hard, I soloed it quite easily as a 41 Arms/Fury Warrior. The mobs are located at Agmond's End.

It's at 51, 67. For those without coords (and I highly suggest you get them if you don't), it's in the southern middle of the map, north of the area of the mountains where they extend from Burning Steppes, right at the southeastern part of the mountain range that resembles an hourglass.

I found the easiest way was near the back entrance to Uldaman Dungeon. Locateda at 65, 43. There will be a vulture and 3 troggs near the entrance. They are 39-40 level elite so be careful. You can also go into the cave a fight a few there, but you don't need to actually go into the instance. I guess this way is easy if you're over 45th level and can fight and heal (paladin).

O.K. first thing.
Do not go north west to Uldaman, unless you want to find out the hard way that having fought through lvl 35-37 epic mobs, you are in the wrong place.

Where you actually want to go is the other side of the pinnacle to the south of where you got the quest (get the vulture recipe one at the same time). Which ever route you take you will have to fight a lot of lvl 34-39 cats and wolves.

The troggs are all level 39-41 (so much for this being a level 35 quest), though they are pullable. Just be careful of wandering wolves and vultures.

Also keep an eye out as there is a wandering patrol - a level 42 boss ogre/giant, four level 41 bodyguards who can nuke, and a level 41 add on.
