Bring 8 loads of Elunite Ore and the Medallion of Elura to Elanaria in Darnassus.

Description

You have learned much, <name>. Now we will craft you a weapon. A warrior's weapon.

To do this, you must travel to Darkshore.

Long ago a ship crashed upon the rocks near the Auberdine lighthouse, scattering many crates of elunite ore along the ocean floor.

First, you must defeat the elunite's guardian, the Shade of Elura. Once the ship's captain, she cursed herself to roam the deeps and protect her shipment for all time. Defeat her, gain her medallion, and gather the crates of lost Elunite.

The ship and Shade of Elura are at 32,45.&nbsp For those without the cosmos, go down the dock from Auberdine, turn left where the boat to Menethril would be docked and jump in the water.

Shade of Elura ('ghost girl') is wondering around the bottom of the ocean by the ship - around the center of the wreck.&nbsp She may be hard to see but once you spot her, be sure to click on her so that you can spot her again easily even if you have to come up for the air before you go back in to attack.

Crates of ore you'll find all over the ocean floor around the ship.&nbsp I found a bunch of them to the East of the ship - 33,46

As everyone else has said if you go to the end of the pier where you would get the ship to Menethil. Jump off there and swim down.
The ghost is easy to beat but watch out for the creatures down there.
As for the crates they are a pain to find.
Swim around the area, as if heading for the shore, you should find them.

It is worth pointing out that if I hadn't checked on here I wouldn't have had a clue. The description for the quest sucks.

An annoying quest, only because the implication is that the ore is aboard the ship. Not only are several of the crates pretty far East of the ship, they're scattered all over (2 are almost under the jetty). While you're exploring, at least one sea lizard (or whatever those things are) will try to eat you. They're 12s or 13s and easy but running out of breath is always an issue. There's one crate just behind the ship but the first time I tried to capture it, it wouldn't give me a gear icon. The next time (after wandering around), it did. Odd but not too unusual. Keep looking you'll find them all.

Found the ship inbetween the port and the island in Darkshore.
it is at 31,44.....and it is better if you can have elixir of water breathing.

For all you with cosmos(if you dont have it, get it - www.cosmosui.org) the ship is located at 31, 44. Type "/tloc 31,44" to show your current location under mini map, when this is shown, she is easily located.

No, its not near the beached turtle, theres a turtle in the water with a huge shell u can swim in, and a skull its dirctly down from that and u will see Elura. Make sure not to pull the Threshers though, they will screw ya up, otherwise she is easy to beat. :)

The Ship is not anywhere near the lighthouse.&nbsp As above:

It's South of the southern dock, the ship that goes to Menethil Harbor will be coming and going right over you as you complete this quest.

You will also see a dead sea turtle (used for another local quest) nearby.&nbsp The Shade of Elura woke up when I went to the middle of the wreck, then I picked up 3 or 4 crates at the wreck.&nbsp Then, swimming East (toward the beach) found another one, then went under the pier and found a bunch more.&nbsp Watch out for Threshers if you are under level 13, they can start attacking you while you are swimming at the surface, better to swim just under the surface so you can see them first (Charge!)

Also: careful asking players for help, unless they are a NE warrior, they might (as a rogue did for me) try to lead you to some crash sites much further north.

When you fly over to Darshore from Teldrassil you see a dead giant sea turtle in the water, the boat is right next to the sea turtle.

This quest is quite annoing...the crates are scattered all over the place and are totally random. fist time i did this quest i finished it fast, but this time it looked like more people were doing it and the crates were hard to find. I ended up doing it for 20min. crates are around the ship, the turtle and under the dock.

Thanks for the coors, mate! :) I just went there, pulled the chick with a throw(away from the nessie), killed her EZ, and just swam a little around the area to find the crates... the crates will respawn, so if you find one, you can easily finish it. Dont know what all the fuzz was about.. :S

More then the needed 8 crates are surrounding the ship and very easy to find. When in Auberdine look for the two ships that you use to travel to the other half of the world. Go the the south dock and jump off right there is the shipwreck cant miss it. Shade is in middle of wreck because of the grey water and the fact that she is grey it is sort of hard to see her. Dropped first try.

For some reason I'll be going to down to get a crate and I'll have about 3/4 of my breath left. All of a sudden I take about 900 "drowning" damage and die. How can I drown when I have 3/4 of my breath left? This is really frustrating and I think could be a glitch. I've all ready drowned 4 times, and I've never drowned a single time before in this game. Just a little strange I think.

We found crates at the following locales:
(1or2) 31,43
(3) 32,46
(2) 33,45
Didn't keep up with all.&nbsp None were beyond the docks.&nbsp Had to kill a thrasher at one point.

Would be HIGHLY helpful to have a Lock with underwater breathing spell to help =)

Just completed the quest myself...while they don't seem to spawn randomly, they do seem to take their sweet-ass time in spawning, because I know for a FACT&nbsp that the places where numbers 5-6-7 spawned I had just left there a few minutes ago, and there weren't any crates there before...but who knows...

Where the quest says it's near the lighthouse, which is on the north side of the docks, the sunken ship is actually on the south side.
If you're on the docks facing Auberdine, jump off the right side.
Wooden crates are somewhat easy to spot on the sea floor but are better found north of the ship than south of it.
I found Elura walking around the middle of the sunken ship.

Well it was not hard to find the ship but now ive defeated that chick under water twice and i cant find\pickup\open any crates.. ive been looking around the ship for 30min now and the crates, wooden boxes, barrels etc... I cant pick up or do anything with. pls.. tell me )

Hi,

I wasn't too sure about the location of the ship, but after looking on thottbot and the instructions kindly provided by others this quest was really quite straightforward. If you look nearby (swim less than a minutes distance) you'll locate all the crates you need.

But then maybe Blizzard fixed up this quest in an update? Anyway, just persist and it'll be real simple like.

I've kill her and she drop it at the first time, but for the crate, u need to search a bit for 1 or 2 of those after the others one u need will be appear. Its for that they r hard to find u cant see 8 or more crate.

Like others said the ship is nowhere near the lighthouse. The Lighthouse is on the Northwest of the dock and the sunken ship is due South of the dock.

Most crates spawn East of the sunken ship forming a trail towards the shore.

Obviously there was some sort of break down in communication between the people writing the quest descriptions and the people designing the terrian because the quest description barely fits the actual location of things.

Let me tell you, it took a hell of a long time for me to find the ship but I did. Ill make it very simple.

Go where you take the boat the Menthil Harbor. Then jum in the water from there and teh boat is literally right there. Just swim down kill Elune and take the crates. Easy as pie from there.^^

Elura is found underwater, smack dab between the two halves of the ship. The crates are also underwater, and it's true they're a bit north northeast of the shipwreck, but a few are in the shipwreck. At level 13, she ambushed me, yet I don't think I went below 75 health, she's easy.

Another easy way to find this place, is to go out to the docks, then when you have a choice of the 3 prongs to go down to, pick the one that is aiming the southermost.

If you jump off that, you'll be basically right over the ship wreck.

I had no issues with the lack threshers.

All of the present posts are correct, except that no one mentioned the crates having to regenerate after another Warrior has recently done the quest. I did this with my friend (another Warrior), and we had to wait around 45 minutes for the crates to respawn, but when they did, there were enough for the both of us, so just keep looking and you'll finish this one up in no time.

On an additional note, Threshers aren't a problem at all, considering there are only 2 to 3 roaming around at all times.

The sunken boat is directly off Mist's Edge, the dock where you get the boat to Menethil. I found the crates at (32,44) (32,43) (33,45) (32,46) (33,43)If you swim back round to these points you will find that the crates have re-appeared. I picked up two lots of Elunite Ore from (32,44) (33,43)and (33,45) to give me my 8 pieces.

The shade of Elura is around 31,45.

There are a lot of level 13 and 14 sea creatures around here but i managed to avoid them the whole time through the quest and didnt get attacked once. I solo'd this as a level 11 warrior and found it an easy going quest that didn't take very long at all.

I had no problem defeating Shade at level 10, but the crates seem to be hard to find. The coordinates are correct for the ship but the crates can be better found under the dock next to the sunken ship. I also had no problem with any of the other creatures in the water.

This can be located straight off the dock where the boat stops to take adventurers to Menethil Harbor in Auberdine. Underwater crates filled with Elunite surround a sunken ship and Elura's spirit is near the ship itself.

I didn't get around to doing this quest until level 14, and I soloed it with no problems. I had heard about a lot of level 14 Darkshore threshers,but this was not true. Go to the crossways at the docks in Darkshore and turn left. Jump off at end of dock and go straight underwater. You will see the crates all over the bottom of the ocean. I was attacked only 3 times-two by threshers while opening the box, and another by the Shade of Eluna ghost. Each was a level 11-12. I would open a box, swim to top for air, go back down, open another crate, etc. Took less than 10 minutes and only had to kill those 3 creatures. Very easy, even for level 10.

according to quest log,you have to kill her first and get medallion to get the ore.that might be why they dont open.just killed her on second try.thresher butted in first time and ate my ass.going after crates now.
