Searing Coral (20)

Description

I want to try Furen Longbeard's new techniques on my own piece of armor. And because you helped Furen and he helped me, you're welcome to the armor after I make it!

To finish the piece, I need a special coral, searing coral. It grows in only one place--along the coast south of Menethil Harbor in the Wetlands.

Bring me enough searing coral and I'll get right to work on the armor. And hurry, <name>. I'm so eager to get started it's making my toes twist!

If you plan on doing the Morbent Fel chain in darkshire, follow it until you get to the trip to the wetlands and you can do both of these at once. https://classicdb.ch/?quest=270

The searing coral drops from iron coral, which can be found on the sea floor south of Menethil, near the Murloc huts.

I see these large reddish open clams on the sea floor around the murlocs. But I cannot click on them at all.

Can someone please describe the iron coral from which we get the searing coral?

thanks.

The "Iron Coral" is not difficult to find if you follow the following suggestion:
1. Go to the end of the pier too Theramore Isle.
2. Face due South.
3. Jump in the water and swim toward land.
You will see a murloc camp and a sunken ship (partially submerged)close to the shore. Between that camp and the sunken ship swim along the bottom of the ocean and you will see large brown coral structures - these are the quest items. The murlocs you have to fight for them are level 28 and 29. Good luck!

This is not the pre requisite for the Fire Hardened Mail quest.

I was able to do the FH Mail quest without having to do this one.

This quest IS NOT part of the Fire Hardened Hauberk quest. This is for a separate armor piece all together to get Fire Hardened Gauntlets. The quest becomes available after you complete the chest armor quest.

This quest is a pre-req to the Fire Hardened Armor quests, which is the level 20 Warrior Quest. For the full guide from start to finish then go here:

Finished this quest rather easily. The coral spawns all around the Morlocs south of the Menethil Harbor. It is a quick run to get them and get back in less than an hour.

The fire hardened gloves are ok. +6 on Str and Sta and 126 armor.

This is in Menthil Harbor NOT Theramore Isle.

Coordinates are 11,65 to 6,73 bunch of lvl 28 and 29 Murlocs to deal with. Bluegill Raiders, they shoot and net. Take pot of underwater breathing.

Did this really quick with a friend at lvl 27. Took about 20 minutes total with flight times.

Same here, I've done all FH quests and got all armor for a while but Im just getting this quest right now as a separated one which has nothing to do with the FH questline
