Soloed it at level 40. Get some nature protection potion from the auction house. Since Cyclonian is an elemental, he deals nature damage. The potions will absorb the damage. You can defeat him easily after that.
Watch out for his knockback though. You get thrown back a great distance and if you do not land in the river, you will get a fair amount of damage. Even if you do land in the river and get no damage, you will be away a great distance and by the time you reach the Cyclonian, he will have healed - not fully, but enough to make you irritated.

Also be aware that Cyclonian is a Level 40 Elite Elemental. You'll need a friend to assist you in killing him in order to obtain the Whirlwind Heart.

Pre Level 40 (heroic strike):

Get the SWORD. You'll be mostly using Heroic Strike which adds it's damage to the next available swing. Faster weapon, more swings, more damage.

Post Level 40 (mortal strike):

Get the AXE if you're an ARMS/Mortal Strike build. MS is an instant attack and you want the highest possible top end damage available.

Instant attack formula: https://classicdb.ch/?faq=Normalized

The MACE is a waste of time.

Apparently, the guy should summon Cyclonian again when you speak to him. If this doesn't work, Try dropping the quest and re-taking it. Since you already handled the materials on the previous quest, you won't need to recollect 'em.

Ok first of all, all of the weapons are good in there own way. If you acutually look at the dps and damage the warhammer has the highest dps by a little bit then the sword then the axe. Overall, the axe has the most damage, then the warhammer, then the sword. The fastest of them all is the sword. The coolest looking in order is the axe, the sword, then the hammer. Once i beat this quest i ended up with the hammer since it has the best dps by about .1 and the damage of it is only about 10 or less below the axe. Ive seen all of these before and i must say that most people get the axe. But there is a reason why 2 handed swords are lower in damage of course. If you read online guides, two handed swords always have lower damage compared to axes and maces if you just look at the damage, but if u actually use them, the sword hits the most and is the fastest which explains the low damage. In the game ive been the only person so far that ive seen take the mace. Which is kinda cool in&nbsp a sense. it has no glowy blue light like the sword or no cool swirvy shape like the axe. it is basically a black chipped rock on a black stick with a spike on the top and on the bottom which is all black. So also consider if your class has a certain +5 specialty with weapons. Such as if you are a human warrior, get the sword or the mace (both great in my opinion). and if you are a horde definitly get the axe. (looks great on them plus good dmg)

My lvl 37 warrior tried to solo the summoned elemental for this last part because I was dumb and didn't check here first to see that he is elite.&nbsp Anyway, I wiped and went to go abandon the quest . . . but it wasn't in the log.&nbsp Freak out ensues.&nbsp "What!&nbsp I'm gonna have to collect all those items again!&nbsp What a pain in the <bleep>!"

Well, I have the cosmos/khaos addons and was looking in that PartyQuest log.&nbsp When I just looked at the regular log by clicking on the quest log tab at the bottom of my screen, it was there and I could abandon it.&nbsp Yippee!

Just wanted to put that out there in case any of you freak about having to re-try the last part of the quest.&nbsp You can abandon and re-do without having to get all that stuff again.&nbsp Just avoid the khaos version of the quest log since that is currently bugged on the failed quests.

I did it solo as a 42 def specced war, took a greater healing potion and was a close fight but that's about it.

Still, I have herod's axe so I dunno if I'll use it or not (chose the axe again).

Also, for those complaining about 1h weapons, do the quest in SM for one, both horde and alliance have nice 1h weapon rewards.

I accomplished this Quest by myself as I didnt have any guild members to assist at the time so i said what the heck ile try my best!

Started at level 39 & finished at beginning of 40.

As far as the requirements:
The 30 blood scalp tusks, well they do take a lot of grinding but you will get them.

I also had the best time killing the elements to get the charms because I got whooped many times before by them earlier in earlier levels and i found that they have elemental materials they drop as im a blacksmith and can also use some of the ingredients for my recipes

The 3 sets of 8 charms do take some grinding but they do come eventually from the time invested or as last resort you can always find @ AH.

When it came to Beating the Cyclonian. I was a bit hesitant to do this alone but after reading another Brave Warriors tale i used his idea and whooped the Cyclonian hands down.
I used a Nature potion( remember hes made from NATURE!) that helped BIGTIME as I relentlessly battered and bashed on him till he dropped and i plenty of health left with a slight sweat on my forhead.

I took the Sword! Mounted up and galloped out of there Very Happy as I was just about to turn 40 after killing him!

For the Alliance!

I Play eveynight so if you really need help.. look me up and we will get it DONE!

If you get killed by the Cyclonian, the NPC&nbsp Bath-Rah won't talk to you again until you abandon the quest.&nbsp When you abandon the quest, the NPC gets the yellow ? back over his head, and starts you off again.&nbsp Taking some friends to help you is a good idea.&nbsp (But if you are a helper, and use Taunt in Def Stance, you may find it'll just get you bounced back a way).

no you dont have to do it all over again, just abondon quest and he'll give it to you again

and for all the ppl who keep arguing about which one to choose, i say....&nbsp &nbsp it doest matter!
they all have the same DPS!(besides the 0.1 variation, which doesnt matter) just pick either the one you have the highest skill in already or the one you think looks best, i picked the sword at level 30 and it ownedjust like the rest just i thought it looked better (get blue enchant for these weps, looks awsome)

now ive ditched my sword and bought 2 one-hand weapons which are faster and easier to kill with.

All the necessary things are already said in the discussions above. All I can say is Nature Protection Potion is a must have if you want to beat the Cyclonian (Level 40 Elite). He deals nature damage and the potion absorbs it. Keep more than one flask of potion with you since during the fight you end up drinking more potions.

Watch out for his whirlwind/knockback. The potion will absorb the damage but you will get knocked back a great distance. By the time you reach the Cyclonian, he will have healed - not fully but enough to make you irritated.

The reward is the Whirlwind Weapon. I got the sword. I am planning to get Bonebiter as the axe from my In the Name of Light quest and complete the set.

Cheers

THIS CAN BE COMPLETED AT LVL 30. you can buy the root and charms in AH,farming the fangs is a little difficult but I did it solo at 30 killing lvl 33-34 bloodfangs. Dont ask how many times I died. For the fight against Cyclonia you can have a high level help (do the killing) and its finished. Basicly a lvl 40 weapon at lvl 30:)

Just a nature protection potion makes all the difference.

Without rest and not wanting to waste a bunch of ag, str, defense and trolls blood potions, I thought I'd try with my 41 warrior just with a +12 food and +15 drink stam buff, and nearly pulled it off solo...he had 1% health left when I died...unlucky I guess. Then someone suggested I could stand in the middle of the river and shoot him while he helplessly stood by the shore, but wherever I stood he seemed to either be able to hit me, or when I shot him, he'd evade and restore to 100% health...maybe I wasn't doing it right, but eventually gave up that idea, fought him melee, and died much faster.

Then I looked at the combat log, and a lot of his damage is nature damage, so just drank a nature protection potion which he ended up slapping out of me, but 1350 to 2250 health to my favor (I didn't notice how much protection I actually got). But he was only 25-50% health by the time I actually took any significant damage, and it was no contest...you can probably get away with being a few levels lower than 41. Good luck!

Cyclonian

What a bloody hard wind thing to beat. At level 41, I found it hard to beat this guy.

(Died 3 times)

But I found a tricks which will help

Right got to AH and buy
• Magic Resistance Potions (Must have)
• Super Healing Potions (You will need)

Both you will need, extras
• Elixir of Strength
• Elixir of Agility
• Elixir of Giant Growth
• Elixir of Stamina

Or any other buffs you can find.

When fighting him, his physical attacks won’t do much damage – you are a warrior so take it!

it’s the blasted Nature damage that is the killer. So watch your health. Also, if you see him casting, stop it, Shield bash (if you can switch quickly) or Pummel to stop it, if he hits you with one of them, expect to die soon.

If he knocks you back, charge back in with Inception ASAP, as he tends to heal himself if he is losing.

A final note, don’t be a coward and use a shield and main hand, either dual-wield or big 2-hand, as I said its not the physical attacks you should be worried about!

A small trick is to run in to the water, he can not get you. Heal, buff and try again.

Also, most of your special moves don’t work, either Immune or Resisted, so just go all out with rage, and shouts! And hope for those crit-hits
