Just to make it alittle more clear(because I got confused)

The Tablet is found on an island(not the cliffs)east of the path.

Maybe I'm the only one that the above comments confused, but if not, hopefully the above statement helps.

This is the island with the arch on it, almost due east of the path leading down to the turtle beach.&nbsp The hint given in the quest is totally wrong.&nbsp

Also, what you are looking for is a large stone tablet, not a table.&nbsp Preview is your friend, folks.

You'll get ambushed twice by a group of ~3 elves... it's not too hard. Not a long walk either, just to the road. Watch out for those owlbeasts, Rin'ji likes to walk in to them on his haphazard path -_-

4200 XP.&nbsp Rin'ji is in a cage by the lake in the back of Quel'Danil Lodge.&nbsp When you let him out, he'll go to Shadra'Alor.&nbsp Clear the way out of the lodge before you accept the quest.&nbsp The spawning mobs aren't a big problem but he can get into a lot of trouble in the forest.&nbsp When he gets close to Shadra'Alor he'll run away.&nbsp Let him go.&nbsp Go to the island north of Revantusk, where you'll find his tablet on top.&nbsp That completes the quest and starts the next one in the series.

Well the quest does say that the reward may not be that exciting (as a troll would say anything to escape his bonds). Also w.r.t the turtles - they were all yellow for me and did not aggro.

Coords are correct, as well as the first comment, south of the island where the lunch is found.&nbsp If you don't know about Lard's Lunch, then it is the smaller island all alone in the ocean to the east of the path down the cliffs, I believe it's slightlt north of the path as well.

Rin'Ji's Secret isn't really on the Cliffs, it's on the island on the map that's in the ocean, between Revantusk Village and that River.&nbsp Or&nbsp 86,59 for people with coords.

Gotta say one of the most rewarding quests by far for how simple it is! Lead the guy just out the door and down a bit killing 6 mobs that spawn and any others he may walk into - ride off to an island to complete quest 86,59 , where I discovered the flight path basically right next to it, fly back to undercity and your done. A whopping 15,100XP - 70s - rep - pretty good gear as rewards. Now thats what I'm talkin bout.

The amount of elves must have been significantly reduced. I've done this quest three times, and each time we've been attacked by no more than 3 groups of 3 elves each.

Completed as a level 47 hunter
You will be encountered by 3 rangers and 3 outrunners during 2 different pulls, maybe more, since sometimes he pulls a mob or 2 extra.

Just be sure no more then 1 mob is on rinji. It also helps to have friendly name plates on, i believe the default hotkey is V but i'm not sure since i unbinded it to something else

I was able to do this solo at 47.&nbsp Make sure to clear out the path in front of the lodge before escorting the guy.

There will be two sets of 3 that spawn, one when you reach the bend in the path, and another as you climb up the hill after you leave the path.

failed many times as lvl 47 frost mage.&nbsp those things resist sheeping too often, once 5 times in a row!&nbsp Rin'ji aggos every animal in the forest, and those dang ranger knives interupt spell when thing look bad.

I just wanted to say that quest log has correct information. That troll doesn't lead you to his treasure! He escapes to his village and the quest log says the treasure is at cliffs-read the whole text in your quest log and you will see. Thats all I wanted to say. You have to go to island near village. I was able to solo this quest as a 46 warlock. First I cleared the lodge then began the quest. 2 waves of mobs, 4 or 5 each wave, and then about 5 random forest mobs. It wasn't very easy, I got down to 5% health, but it is solo-able.

Rin'ji's secret is located on the island a bit south&nbsp of the waterfall, a stone slab under the arch.

I was a 47 undead Destroyer lock. The quest itself wasnt too difficult.

HAving said that I did do it 3 times, as i was ganked twice by a pair of lvl48 allies.

When protecting him, try to pull any mobs singularly before fighting the gurds that come in triplets. Rin'ji will help you kill.

Attempted this 3 times.
First, Rin'jin was murdered by a coupe of dumb alliance players and people actually complain that horde insult them? pah.
Second, as mentioned, ganged by the second ambush of outrunners and two wolves and a silly owl wannabe, aint funny, died.
Third time lucky, cleared the stupid animals before going, alliance wern't around and managed to pick each outrunner off.

Only two ambushes.
Clear all people near the path and all animals north of the path straight infront of the den. Pray no alliance jerks kill Rin'jin.

Good luck and go slowly.

Solo'd at 44, easy enough provided you clear things first xD

The mobs spawn in 3 or 4 groups of three. As long as you kill all the elves in the building and immediately outside before accepting, that is all you will have to deal with, save maybe a wolf or an owlbeast or two.

If you're doing "Message to the Wildhammers" anyway, then this quest shouldn't be too hard. Those reporting the quest reward as being mere XP obviously haven't followed the instructions about what to do about Rin'ji's tablet.

There's a group of level 60 Alliance on my server who sit around waiting for upper 40's Horde to accept this quest so they can kill Rin'ji, and hopefully accidentally flag yourself in the confusion. If you don't flag they proceed to follow you around Quel'Danil Lodge /chicken -ing and /spit -ing at you.

I expected this on my PvP server, but not a PvE one.

That aside, I was attacked by three groups of three elves, a wolf, and a savage owlbeast.

I've completed it, and it's utterly dissapointing. After you escort him out and kill 70+ elves he sends you to a tiny little island off the coast, which had level 50 turtles everywhere.
Then you get a little useless bit of rock you have to show someone in the Undercity, and all you get out of tht is 3100exp.

Not worth the hassle.

Quest is very quick and beneficial for mages (or any caster, really).

You get 4500 for going to the tablet.
2500 for handing it to the lady in UC.
Then 4500 as your final reward.

Then you get a chest piece with +10 Int/Stam and +15 to spells.

VERY well worth it for a mage. And takes no time with a teleport to UC.

anyone know what the reward is? I tried doing this quest with a group of 5 but those elves kept respawning and we had to go through a bunch of waves and Rinji ended up dying, so just wondering if the reward was worth it

I got a group of 5 too and we all died at least once trying to do it. We were all about to give up because the never stopped spawning in that last area, but finally it said we suceeded.
Now I can't find this cave the reward is in anywhere!

Completed it with a group of three people (lvl 45-46), quite quick quest. Reward sucks. It's just exp, so it's stupid to give false expectations with "Unknown reward" and crap about secrets etc.

Probably been reduce since 1.8 or 1.9. The reward is... well, nothing. Just get exp for it. 86,59 are good cords for the island.
