Soloed as a level 55 hunter, you can do it too! Set your pet's autocast of growl to OFF, put keep bite/claw/poison or whatever else does damage ON. Put on aspect of the cheetah, pull with distracting shot + serpent sting, and kite with jump arcane shots and serpent stings, send pet in right away for extra dps. DO NOT use conc. shot, because then the adds will be ahead of Deathclasp, and if Deathclasp falls behind, you need to slowdown and the guards will hit you. I use a wide circular pattern to kite him, he has pretty low hp and moves slow so he is quite easy :).

Also adds respawn instantly if you kill them and reset him.

This guy is located just East of Bronzebeard's encampment up a path into the mountains. You'll reach one clearing and then the path will curl back south and up the mountain. Death Clasp spawns there. Respawn time appears to be fairly short.

He's got 2 non-elite scorpid adds, so you'll need help. We tanked the boss and AoEed the two adds down with the mage, then took out the boss. Simple.

I found her very near the bronzebeard camp, just up a little path to the mountains, for me she had 2 guards with her and also, once you've killed her be sure to get the satchel for the sick guy (this is another quest, the last in a chain-the one of getting poison realated drops)

This guy patrols with his two lvl57 bodyguards on the hill behind Bronzebeard's Encampment at the southern end of Silithis - just follow the main road to the south end and follow mountains to the East. Deathclasp's attacks include a freeze-type of stun and a HUGE knock-back that really screws up your day - (59 pally actually died when launched over the side of the mountain at reduced health) Finally killed him whith full group (although I saw a 60 mage basically solo him). Reward is 8k+ exp-not bad.

This was easy as a Druid.&nbsp Hibernate Deathclasp for the pull.&nbsp Kill the adds in Feral form, then move up the hill around the corner (since his adds respawn shortly) and starfire Deathclasp Immediately hibernate him.

Repeat.

Try to stay in that corner and just move far enough away after you hibernate him that he won't get to you in 1.5 seconds.&nbsp The adds continue to patrol up and down the hill, so don't get too close to them or you'll have to kill them again while he's hibernated... and that's just annoying.

He actually knocked me back up onto the cliff once, and then off the cliff into a pit, which he subsequently charged into as well, but I still got him despite the fall damage.

The hardest part of this (and I use the term 'hardest' lightly), was killing his escorts before he broke hiberate.&nbsp The next time I tried it, I just rehibernated him before the first time broke, and it was easy.

As an aside, I hadn't trained in the highest level of Starfire yet, so it would have been even easier.&nbsp It was maximum 5 minutes of hibernate/starfire.

p.s. if you can do this, go to LBRS and solo Mother for the Wildheart boots with the same strategy.

Deathclasp isnt immune to scare beast, so i assume he's also fearable by locks/priests. Trapped one, feared deathclasp, killed both adds then onto deathclasp. The paralyse poison is quite deadly, watch out for it. Easy as 58 hunter.

Solo'd him as a lvl 60 blue/green geared warlock. hes extemely easy to kite around.. and his adds run back if you pull him out into silithus far enough. i threw up Curse of Exaustion and tossed corruption and siphon life on him. deathcoiled him when i got a little low on health and feared Mobs that aggroed me such as the little annoying spiders running around down the hill from deathclasp.anyways thought ide let you know how incredibly easy this fight is.. and he is fearable

I couldn't manage to break him away from his minions at all, instead I kited him toward AQ, turning and putting stings and arcane shot on him the whole way... When he got to about 70%, I sent my pet after him with cower on, and the pet pecked him down to about 20% pretty quickly with the help of more shots.&nbsp Once he slowed, I had to stop and kill him and his minions, but it wasn't too hard at that point.&nbsp As previously mentioned, he doesn't have much in the way of health.

11,600 xp points (wow!)
Reputation with Cenarion increased by 500

would not recommend solo'ing unless you are level 62+, any class. Very difficult battle. He does spawn 2 flayer adds and they are both lvl 57-58.

solod quite easily as a level 56 afflic lock, only 30-40 blues with some 40-55 greens, started with a VW on one of the adds, killed them both while keeping deathclasp feared, sac'd the VW then pulled out imp, dot/fear chained deathclasp for an easy victory

Soloed as 57 spriest.

Started with buffing up and waiting for shield cooldown. Then i waited for him to come in range and started with Vampiric Touch and then ran while dotting him with Shadow Word: Pain and Starshard (Night Elfs only). Then I started the nuking. Did 1 Mind Blast at first, then feared them so i didn't have the adds on me. Continue nuking Deathclaw with Mind Blast and Mind Flay. (Don't stay with your back against the cliff as i did. He kicked me down and i got aggro from 2-3 adds down there aswell) I shielded myself again and dotted him. Was very lucky because i was on 4% hp when i had fear ready so that saved my life =)
Did a final Mind Blast on him, shielded myself and looted. Then i died =(
But it was worth it :P

If you don't fall down and pull mobs like i did, and got enough mana for a couple flash heals. I'm pretty sure you can do it and not die ^^,

Good Luck!

Kind of annoying as a 58 BE paladin, but possible to solo.
Start off with a food buff, Linken's Boomerang and tank gear equipped. Throw an Avenger's Shield. While they're slowed, run down the little hill and hit Deathclasp with the boomerang. Run a little more. The adds will run off, leaving you with Deathclasp alone. He'll hit you with Paralyzing Poison which will stun you anywhere from 2 seconds to 7 seconds. When you get a 7-second stun, bubble out of it and bandage/heal. Use a major health pot if you need to. When forbearance fades, use another bubble and bandage/heal again (don't bandage if you have a poison DOT on you, though, cleanse it first). Eventually you'll wear him down. Didn't need lay on hands, though it might have eliminated the need for the health pot.

60 Hunter this was easy.

I laid freezing trap and sent pet after one of the guards, Concussive shot Deathclasp and the other guard came after me and froze. I kited Deathclasp down the hill and just past the camp, far enough to have my pet disapear. The guards started to chase and went back as soon as they hit the bottom of the hill. I called pet back and he went down pretty quick.

I acidently pulled to spider adds toward the end so my pet ended up dying, but I only lost about 200hp total.

Soloed with 58 arc/fire mage. Just nuked deathclasp until it died then ran from the other non elite as I was low on mana. No potions or evocation, just a mana gem. Some mentioned that there were two smaller scorpions but for me there was only one, maybe I was lucky. I recommend doing it along with Noggle's Lost Satchel as the bag is right next to deathcoil.

Located around 43,91.

One of the easiest bosses I've ever fought, at least for a 60 Demonology warlock. Pull with Curse of Doom, Suffering to give ya some time for Howl of Terror, give him a soul fire, if terror breaks give him death coil and Fear, make sure your voidy is tanking the adds and throw them each some DoTs, heal either of you if necessary, refear Deathclasp when he comes back, rinse and repeat until CoD goes off, then throw him a new CoD/Fear routine. If voidy dies make sure you insta-pop a new one if possible. If not, pop a howl of terror and hope for the best. For this strategy, DO NOT put any DoTs on the boss except for doom, or fear will break much more easily, and you don't want that under any circumstance.

I soloed this regarding other quest (where killing it wasnt really needed), but obviously must go back for the poster. Here's morale, never have your questlog full when grinding reputation via quests.

So here's what I did as a druid, its really simple. I was geared as hybrid for the speed.

1. Go up to the edge - hibernate elite.
2. Root one of the adds.
3. Run down (its to win time when elite comes), cast moonfire on the runner, FF.
4. Cat is fastest way to finish it off, regardless your specc.
5. If elite comes, hibernate it and ignore the small one.
6. Kill the alive loner non-elite.
7. Now its up to your talents/skill how to deal with elite. As I am not feral, and was heavily ooming, I just cast starfire, starfire, when it had a stun (balance talent : imp starfire) one more starfire, and rehibernated or rooted it for manaregen.

It is important at start keep elite hibernated or if non feral also other add rooted while dealing 1st one. I did not use any potions, but natural manaregen and selfheal. If hibernate gets resisted by Deathclasp just use roots instead. Hibernate is safer way to deal with the elite than roots as roots seem to have higer chance to break than hibernate.

It is not ultimate way to do it as a druid, but least this way I stood alive, drank no potions and survived with ease.

Then *punt*

Tough one to solo as a 60 rogue (mainly blue gear with some purple). One of the adds was bugged out and sitting at the bottom of the path not reacting to anything, which helped me massively, but I lost a lot of health when the paralysing poison was on me (it hit 3 times which hurt!), and it also wasted most of my evasion and adrenaline rush while I was paralysed. I did kill him, after using a healing pot and a whipper root, but the add got me right afterwards.

Fortunately the corpse was still there after I ran back, even though Deathclasp himself had respawned I just waited for him to get out of range, ressed, looted and ran away :)

Went in with no pet. Put down a frost trap >> arcane shot him and kited him to the road. On the road is a patrol of Nightelfs. They did the work for me. I shot him afew times just to make sure the kill was mine. Nice and easy. Just have to watch out for mobs about as you kite him.

Pulled Deathclasp into freezing trap, set pet on one add, used scare beast on other. Killed the tanked one. Then scatter on Deathclasp, and fear as soon as I could. Killed other add. Healed pet as best I could, send after deathclasp. Pet dies, Deathclasp is low, kite him around a bit, voila.

I have clever traps, which I imagine would make this much easier. My freezing trap lasts for 26 seconds, scatter is four, scare beast is 20 with a 30 second cooldown. So I'm able to keep Deathclasp off of me until the next scare beast is up.

Otherwise I was thinking of just trying to dps him down with the adds frozen/feared, but this seemed better in the long run, and more fun :P
