This item was removed from the game's loot tables after the loot in MC was completely redone.

History: When the game came out you could get both Tier 1 and Tier 2 sets from MC and this was later changed in the 1.4 patch in preparation for BWL. When this change came through, this item became no longer obtainable along with the Tier 2 sets (save the pants from rag and helm from ony). The Tier 2 sets were once again obtainable in the BWL patch however this item remains property of a select few players who were raiding MC during the first months of the game's release.

No more posting, this is real. The only person known to have it is Noktyn, a Lvl 60 warrior on the Archimonde server. The Guild he was in is called Nurfed. The Talisman dropped from Baron Geddon in Molten Core, a GM accidently put it in the loot tables, and was immediately removed. Noktyn was allowed to keep it though. Talisman of Binding Shard may never drop again, but if it does don't post any crap unless you have a REAL screesnhot, not some shaman using a Orb of Deception. So if your going to post something here, post something worth reading.

Doesn't the lightning bolt make this the only neckpiece to have an effect on the wearer's appearance?

This is indeed a real item, that was taken out and is no longer available to players, except for the lucky ones who got it. It can be found in the World of Warcraft Armory. Thus it does exist!

That ball is supposed to go round you when wearing that. On "private" hacked servers it doesnt show the ball because the emulator doesnt support such a feature.

Probably used to free thunderaan prince of air and he'll help you kill ragnaros.
geddon and gar each have one of these talismen.
You'll probably be able to combine the talisman and inside is thunderan's essence.

The sithilis gates are bound by roots so that wouldn't make much sense.

This was found once in MC back when Tier 2 armors still dropped. This was all changed fairly quickly after guilds started doing MC an Blizzard realised things where dropping that shouldn't have been. This dropped once and blizzard said that it was an unintentional drop. The person who recieved it was allowed to keep the item.

Whether there was a GM inguild involved or not is all speculation.

Nah...it does infact suck.

For a necklace, it's good...yes, But for a legendary, it sucks big.

Let's agree on the fact that this necklace, being legendary, is garbage, since there's no big encounter in the game where you need fire and nature resistance at the same time, and the other stats are just laughable. You won't be wearing it outside of instances.

this was added to the loottable of garr in an early patch, just when the first guilds had started doing MC. When one or two guilds had gotten it, blizz hotfixed the loottables but the guilds who had gotten the items got to keep them.

thats how i understood it anyways...

It's not the talisman of "binding shard"... its obviously a shard of the talisman of binding.
Actually, you're wrong, it works both ways, you simply put quotes around the wrong part. It is the "Talisman of Binding" Shard.

There, see, the same thing.

And this is a VERY good necklace for a tank, would make it much easier to keep aggro, I would think.

I have read through the posts, mostly jibberish. Where does this item come from? No I think it comes from... or I heard... or any of that nonsense. Is it a quest? If so, where? Is it a drop? If so, who?

If any other guild than nurfed would have gotten it, then you would probably believe it more, or am I wrong?

PS to the pointless guy: 24 NR and 24 FR is actually uber, since tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 armor have multiple resistances aswell, and none of them that high.

uuuummmmm, people, there is no other necklace to go along with this. the things that demetrian is talking about, the things split between Garr and Geddon, are the Bindings of the Windseeker. you need them, the essence of the firelord, and 10 elementium bars (equivilant to 100 arcanite bars, a bunch of fiery and lava cores, and elementium ore, which is a BWL drop) to release Thunderaan.

I'd imagine that this will be popping up here in some new instance, when artifacts get a little more common place (likely w/ the expansion) this will probably show up again, they wouldn't make an item just to not put it in any loot tables (purposely) then once it accidentally drops take it out of the game forever.

yeah but keep the color grey it's crap and only useful for MC / ony with additional fire resistance pieces

/sigh

Oh and maybe in a duel with a rogue, multiply the amount of times a rogue HITS a warrior in a duel * 4, I suppose it adds up but man, kind of a let down this item is

This is incorrectly listed as Legendary, it's actually an Artifact item.

Red = Legendary
