Old world bosses don't drop em anymore - just killed the cannon guy and no hat. They drop off of Outlands bosses now :\

Darkmaster Gandling drops the green one, maybe Baron Rivendare drops the red one? *grins*

Sooooo...random drop it seems :O

Confirmed, the mobs that you can loot this from will be wearing it on their heads. Just like Gandling, he wears the Green one.

I have this hat and it apparently doesnt 'disapear' after seven days or so, so you can have it forever in other words. I got my from BRD of the Emporer. BRD is a fun instance if you have 4 other level 60's, it's just a bit hard getting a group. Anyway, whenever you see the Emporer, he is wearing the hat, and since the item is new, I believe it is a 100% drop.

i got this hat off Bael'dun Excavator while doing a quest, not sure what's the drop rate but. it's so cool, hope i can keep it.

is it a confirmed 100% drop rate from bosses such as gandling, the emperor in brd, price in dm w, etc (in the lvl 60 instances)? What about other bosses for lower-level instances?

Got it off Emperor Dagran Thaurissan.

We got it from Anvilcrack in the spire. It seems it's droppable by any being anywhere.

Does it have to be just a group or can it be a raid for a hat to drop?

I've seen some people wearing them. I so want one.

Was playing around with my lvl 19 lock alt hordeside, doing Guns of Northwatch. Killed a random mob inside the keep (no he did not have the hat on)and he dropped the red one. It's bop (at least the one I got) and have not seen any others floating around. I'm presuming it's fairly rare.

Bosses may drop it. Mobs drop it at random.

The Emperor in BRD just dropped this. It appears bosses drop them. It looks just like a santa hat.

Started a new character on horde side today and this dropped from one of the trolls on the Echo Isles - Durotar :D

Dunno about the mob having to be wearing it....

had one drop off a Jadefire Satyr....farmed for another 3hours and didnt get a second =(

Yeah, going about my business in Mulgore and doing a level 6 quest fighting humanoid mobs and one of 'em dropped one of these. I'll upload my character's profile so you can see it on him, he's only lvl 7. hehe

I got it from a Defias Pillager (L14, Westfall). I had been grinding that area for many hours though, seems like I got lucky.
