Bliz confirmed recently that this hat was accidentally removed from the loot tables in a past fishing 'fix'. Given that it hasn't actually been seen since beta, there probably isn't a single fishing hat on any live server... yet! Hopefully the item will be added back in soon. Link

My husband made me pretty overalls last night and this hat would finish the look very nicely. Wonder where it drops.

Can anyone verify that they've seen the hat drop from these mobs? I went through about 100 harvest watchers/golems and got just about everything else they drop except the hat.

I spoke to a GM last night (07/26/05) and he said that the Lucky Fishing Hat has not yet been reinstated after it was removed by mistake during a fine-tuning of the fishing-skill a while back.

OMG, this would go nicely with the Big Iron Fishing Pole and my Fishing Enchant. I even dropped Master Alchemy for Engineering so I can make my own lures... Alas, I have no hat.

The Russet Hat looks exactely the same and can be bought off a cloth vendor in every major city. Of course it lacks the +5 Fishing Skill, but at least something.

this hat was removed by mistake. has been REINSERTED into WoW via the STV fishing contest its sold by the fishign vendor who normally lives in elwynn but makes a guest appearence in BB of STV for the contest. too bad the contest has yet to be released on the normal servers. its on allah now because the STV contest is on the test servers already, so folks on test servers have seen it.

I won mine a while back, just need to get the boots, high test Fishing Line, Arcanite Fishing rod for the full setup (already got the +2 enchanted gloves).
