I find that a mage AoE is nice...
HOWEVER you should probably just have the rogue check the crate for traps before someone goes off opening everything they see screaming, "But i have a QUEST for this!"

Most annoying with these is that they can't be targeted with the tab key.
Best way to kill them: Paladin with consecration and retribution aura. I was able to solo the rat trap thing with that. :-)
