When I gave the egg to the NPC a Dragon Serpent spawned, ran up and killed this dog, then flew away.

I've noticed more than one "Dog" in the game with the guild tag "Sire". Is this some joke that I don't get? With how Blizzard likes to throw in in-jokes, I wonder.

If you want a pet of this type aka a dog or a puppy of this model it is obtainable by the quest Kibler's Exotic Pets; it awards a Worg Carrier.

Why does Anonymous credit Dog with selling items? You can't do anything with him, he just wanders around Freewind Post. Pretty large error, IMHO.
