If I remember correctly, he's guarded by 62 elite nagas. How he got into a sewer with nagas when he was originally kidnapped by the Defias, I'll never know. He's more or less just there to be awesome, no actual usage. My guess is he'll later be used as a raid rescue or something similar.

Just something I found interesting, the name of the island he is on is Alcaz Island. Alcatraz minus the -atr-. I'll let you form your own opinions on that one.

the ring is from an Alliance quest that takes u trough The Deadmines and The Stockade and invovles killing two guys in The Keep Gardens(whatever) i believe horde has got something similar to that..

why is he on that island instead of in SW?

was looking around this place, and found the king of stormwind, so I killed him for good measure on my 60 undead rogue. you'd think he'd be elite or something. :(

He's gone now because his quest was sorta lame and had no purpose for the game for a while. Now on Alcaz Island in that prison like area is Dr. Weevil who drops a quest item for the AQ scepter quest chain, people do it because the rewards and rep later on in the quest are sweet.

So, where is he excactly? On the "Alcaz Island" ? I just want to have that ring and else i've done all the work for.. 2k xp ? Someone please give a detailed location so i can get that cool ring :) .. Thx Mixor

went there tonight on my 60war with a 60 rogue and druid, mostly MC gear and couldnt find him. so we decided to have fun with these minions that are around the place now and theres a bad ass boss up stairs 63 elite that hit me for 1k regular around 1500magic attack and he has an AE stun for 2sec, on our server our top guild took 20ppl to kill him and hes for the AQ quest line i believe, but any way the kings not there anymore at least for the horde hes not

the king is ten years old he is in stormwind why is he there how do you get there?

It's probably the end of the Missing diplomat line, once they finish it. This is the real King, the father of the "king" in stormwind. My guess is Onyxia had him kidnapped and imprisoned to better control the Alliance.

we stealthed there (were alliance) i would of thought u could speak to him! but u cant hopefully there is a future quest he gives if u get to him like escort him all the way back to Stormwind or sumin!i got killed 7 times tryin to get to him! got to him in the end im lvl 48 rogue BTW!

as a rogue i got to the isle with walk on water from shaman <3 once i was there. there was only 60 - 62 elite hydras no king hmm nothing intresting there so dnt get excited

This guys is the REAL King of Stormwind. The little boy in Stormwind Keep is his son, who was given the title of King when his father (this guy) went missing on his trip to Theramore. The boy was named King in order to prevent the people of Stormwind from finding out what really happened and going into a riot or something. The people of Stormwind really have no idea that the real King is even missing, as is explained in the chain quest leading up to the arrest of the traitor in Dustwallow Marsh.

He is on that island because during his trip, he was kidnapped by the Defias Brotherhood. From what other people have said, there are possibly 2 reasons why he's on that island.

1. The Naga attacked the Defias while they were transporting the King and kidnapped him themselves, and are holding him here.

2. The Defias took him to that island and held him prisoner there (which probably explains the dock, lighthouse, and human-made buildings on the island). After a while, the Naga invaded the island and drove the Defias away. The king might have hidden in that sewer to get away from the Naga. Since there is no Naga with him, or anywhere in that sewer, I'm guessing that the Naga probably dont know he's even there.

Theres a very good possibility that Blizzard will implement a new quest chain that will involve the rescue of the King, and the possible (and logical) beginning quest-giver may be Jaina Proudmoore on Theramore Isle.

I believe Caydiem once mentioned on the forums a long time ago that there would eventually be a quest leading to Varian Wrynn
