Elementium? I have not heard that word uttered from the mouth of a mortal in decades.

A former student of mine by the name of Krixix spent a lifetime attempting to make contact with the chained Gods of the underworld. He pursued that which would spring up from the ravaged earth... That which would form only as a result of the elements clashing in the titanic conflict.

Elementium as it would be known to mortals.

One day, nearly a decade ago, Krixix's pursuit lead to a fissure forming in this very gorge.

A fissure?

Aye, he had done what was thought to be impossible. Out from the fissure sprung an agent of Therazane!

From my vantage point, I could see the goblin holding conversation with the agent of the Old God. What happened after that was terrible...

So what happened?

The fissure closed and Krixix was gone! Swallowed whole!

Be warned, <race>, what you wish for could very well become that which you do not want. You play with beings and arcana that are older than time itself!

Should Krixix be alive and should he have the information which you seek, you can be certain that he will not give up said information. He has faced terrors far worse than you could ever dream to perpetuate.

He has no active quests linked to him, but he will tell you how to smelt elementium if you have one of the parts of Thunderfury.
He is very close to the (most probably) entrance to Mount Hyjal, so he will probably have some quests when that instance comes.

Last time I was down there in winterspring, (farming demon for the eye, who cares), anyways, I saw this Blood Elf-like guy, and he said something about "studing the known and..." crap, EITHER WAY, I ALSO saw a portal to an instance, blocked by rocks, so if I had to take a guess, I would say that he is related to the attunement to that "unfinished instance" I saw, give quests for it, or whatever, im out of ideas what kind of "Big Boss" would be in the instance full of demons tough, probably some evil Dreadlord or something equally evil-like, I doubt it has to do something with the arthas tough, since the surrownding is mostly "Demon" and not "Undead" just my toughts.

Having obtained one of the bindings of Thunderfury, I started farming this area for some arcane crystals. Just for the heck of it, I talked with this guy again. Much to my surprise, he has an entire dialogue about elementium, how the gorge was made, and much more. To make the whole story short, he essentially tells where and how to learn to smelt elementium.

P.S.- If you are on Illidan and the alliance side, message me and I'll give you the story for a fee. =P

As said, if you have one of the Bindings of the Windseeker, additional dialog with him will become available and he will inform the player about Elementium ore, and how one can go about smelting the ore.

about the elementium. most people should know about it. It's a goblin in BWL that you can MC and then teach miners the recipe, but the thing was today I was running around in winterspring for some thorium (making dual dawn's edges for my alt) and came across this guy. he said the normal "I study the known.. blabla" nothing about the elementium. So according to you other dude about the thunderfury bracer. its probably only available then, not even as 70 nor with the elementium recipe.

and lolz as my topic: been there loads of times <- then i mean hyjal ofc (jumping).
