I knew going into pulling Simone the Inconspicuous that getting in her melee range would be dangerous. So I, a 70 frost mage in full epics with 963 frost damage, pulled out my water elemental and two shotted her with a shatter combo. No problem, right?
Wrong... so, so wrong. One "The Cleaner" spawned after I killed Simone and her little pet. He was immune to snares and slows (no pet freeze, no nova, no slowing effect from frostbolt) and he two shotted me in melee. He was also immune to molten armor which makes me think he is immune to all magical damage!
I will be trying to kill this guy a few times now that he's thwarted me.

Hes also immune to melee, just fyi. So yeah, totally unkillable.

So me and my girlfriend (both lvl70 mage) ran into this NPC... Kinda owned us... Hit me for 4400+...

They hit my 70 hunter for around 2400, as long as you hit the lady's puppy once only one spawns. If you had a good tank/healer or a experience kiter you could probably kite one of these guys to org. I imagine the day would end with a GM despawning the mob and an epic YouTube vid.

If he IS unkillable, then kiting him to a major city will probably get you banned, just like they banned the guy who pulled Kazzak.
It wouldn't surprise me if Blizzard already made this NPC definitely leash, or gave him a speed increase to keep up with someone trying to kite him.

People, were you on the Priest Epic quest by any chance?
Now i'm only going by what i know about the Hunter epic quest, but i'm sure its gonna remain true here.
The Priest must do his epic quest (or at the least the bosses/end) ALONE! He cannot invite a gang of mates along to help him get the fricking EPIC STAFF - BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE A LITTLE BIT EASY DONT YOU AGREE!
So "The Cleaner" is a little safeguard from Blizzard to enforce this, thats why he PWNED you. He will in fact continue to PWN you until you stop trying to cheat on your Epic quests. CLEANER FTW!

When I heard screaming in EP i thought it was some kind of rare spawn or something...
Be warn try not to get west to Strat when you hear yelling, my advise.

I just had a gnome ride by on his mechano-strider, and The Cleaner came right up on me about 4 seconds later.  Not sure if the gnome spawned him, or if the one guy in my group did it.
I was one shot'd, but the Priest that was with me (though not on the quest) ressurected me, and I continued on my quest.  I failed after 2 more waves because that entire first group of peasants died, but I find it strange that I was able to be resurrected without failing the quest.

I heard some yells, and I asked my mate what it was. "ah it's for the priest quest". Then I where wondering how it is, so I went to visit. I aproached the priest, was kind happy and jumping around him. (horde, Im alliance). Then suddenly this dude came out, he looked like illidan or something.. and he just 1 shoted me to death. I hope I didnt $%^& it up for the priest, but It was shure a nasty thing to do to me. :> (10% durab, grr..)

He despawns after he kills the priest. So you can't kill him (you wouldn't have time).
Blizzard probably made him invulnerable too.
Think about if Blizzard actually put something nice in his loot table. People would ruin priests epic quests all day long. Not going to happen.

I Saw him today in Un'goro crater, im a 56 Warlock human i talked to simone (The troll talknig around, nothing happened, i then noticed the small wolf infrount of her i ran up trying to talk to it and aggroed a dinosaur, then my felguard attacked simone who turned into hte cleaner attacked my group and ran off

I had this chap come in and kill me while I was doing the The Balance of Light and Shadow quest. I am an Alliance Priest and every time any Alliance entered the area, The Cleaner would appear and take me out and not the other Alliance. When Horde entered the area, The Cleaner would appear and try to take them out. Unfortunately in my case, it was an Undead Mage and after he fireballed me he teleported out of range of The Cleaner to safety.
I believe the Priest is attacked by The Cleaner if someone of the same faction enters the area or attempts to heal the Priest from outside of the area.
If a member of a different faction trys to intervene, then they themselves are attacked.

I have never seen this guy NOT one shot his target, whether it be a priest or a paladin (or Varimathas while he's having a drink in a bar). I don't think you can actually tank him, as he just comes out, one-shots, and disappears. He is literally the most powerful MOB in the game, I think =)

He spawns when a Priest is doing the Epic-Stave-Quest and some other Player comes too close to the Area.
After he spawned immediately he goes after the person. Don't try to kill him or so :P
He makes about 3300-3900 DMG (NON-crit) per hit.
And maybe he disappear after he 'cleaned' the area. But in some cases he kills even the poor Priest :/

ehehe yeah.. i'm a priest my self and my friend won the eye of divinity today and we went to do the quest... he started the event.. i just stood there... 10 secs later this cleaner came up and hit my friend for 8200 damage...
it's a lvl 63 elite deamon... the most beautiful mob i've ever seen.. all black.. huge wings.. just beautiful...
anyways, he killed my friend not me... which was funny since i did nothing ahahah

This guy appears when anyone interferes with the hunter/priests epic quests.
This guy, the burning steppes demon, un'goro demon, and the silithus demon will pwn any one 70's face.
Winterspring demon is easily killable, he doesn't use fools plight =D
