Gnoll Paw (8)

Description

Stormwind has abandoned us. A foul wind of depravity rustles through the plains of Westfall. This was my homeland and I will not turn my back on the citizens who choose to remain here. We, the former farmers, shall make our stand.

Your task, should you choose to accept, is to patrol the grasslands of Westfall. Track down and slay the vile Gnolls that seem to be working in conjunction with the Deadmines thieves. Bring me eight Gnoll Paws and I will reward your bravery.

Found a nice camp of Gnoll levels 11 and 12 at 43,14 a little north of Jangolode Mine.

They seemed to drop the Paws about 25% of the time!

Good luck! :D

this quest is not too hard to complete IF YOU TAKE YOUR TIME! the gnolls are at the south end of the zone (right by the bridge to Duskwood) If you wait about 1 minute you'll see that one of the gnolls will leave the rest of the pack. Wait for this and attack the one gnoll, making sure not to link the others. Pull the one away from the pack and kill them one at a time. You'll probably go through about 20 gnolls to get the 8 gnoll paws.

I did not have any luck killing Gnolls scattered around in Westfall. I found all my Gnoll Paws at a Gnoll camp by the Alexston Farmstead, near the coast, at 30,50.

In Westfall: 52,17 near Furlbrow's Pumpkin Farm and also on the ridge at 56,15. Mobs are levels 11-13. Just be careful because they BAF (Bring a Friend - come in groups, etc)

There's also a nice camp of lower level mobs (lvl 11-13) near the Jangolde Mine at 45,15. I was almost done with the quest by the time I found these guys, but I did get one confirmed drop.

North of Jansen Farm, North of Jasperlode mine, and west of Molsen farm just past road and south of Dead Acre.&nbsp More difficult the further south you go.

The (X,Y) are for use with an add-on. I use Titan and it has not given me any problems. You can get it at:
http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=576

Just down load the file extract the zipped folder and put it in the following folder tree:
c:\program files\worldofwarcraft\interface\addons\(TITAN)
Restart WoW and it should be ready to go. If the folders metioned are not there then just create them.

Good Luck :)

The lower level gnolls are just east of the mine in the far north of westfall.&nbsp There are several camps with mobs around level 14 or so.&nbsp Not hard quest.

At the end of the day.. if you don't want cosmos, why do you need a description?

Click 'Gnoll Paws' at the damn top which will take you to another page of who drops them, click the ones in westfall, and oooo look, its a map.

The Riverpaw Gnolls are on the north side of Jangalode Mine. Jangalode mine is in the north part of Westfall. The ones I did were level 12.

If you simply go north of Jangolode mine, there are two camps with stray Gnolls outside them, and are only level 11-13 usually it seemed like. If you go there you should be able to get your paws within 15 minutes easy, even at level 14.

I gained 975 XP on this quest at level 16. Also gained 250 SW rep. The higher level gnolls seemed to drop the paws much more frequently than the lower level variants such as Scouts.

There is no way you can do this quest as LvL 14.
The Gnolls that attacked me are lvl 17. For me being a priest lvl 14 is too high to counterattack.

It ain't impossible for a lvl 14, my druid took it with ease (if it was tru it would've been nice). Actually, it took quite some time due to my low lvl but patience i the key to victory.
