Vile Satyr! Dryads in Danger!

Find Anilia in Xavian.

Description

Listen, I don't know who you are, but I need your help. My sisters went to take back the Branch of Cenarius from the satyr. They said they'd be back soon, but it's been two whole days!

<name>, you have to find them! They were looking for the ruins of a night elf temple in Xavian to the northwest. I don't know what to think. Look for Anilia, she was leading them on the search.

Head north thru the Bleakheart Satyrs... there is a camp of Xavian Satyrs there, and in the middle is, sadly, Anilia's corpse (yellow ?). You should be able to see it from tloc 79, 45.

Read the posts (thank you!) and my 28 Druid started by pulling and killing one of the rogues. When he reached 10 Health, he healed himself 100% despite my attacking him. He did not heal a second time but it still took twice as long to kill him as a normal 29. The camp is full of rogues and regardless of their respawn time, I could see this could take an entire weekend just to get to Anilia.

Plan B: stealthed up to her, shifted to Druid, finished the quest and accepted the second one as 273 Rogues plus the Argentinian Army descended on me. Shifted to bear but there were so many they almost overloaded my video card. Died gracefully and figured the 2550 XP was worth a trip to the Tombstone Tavern and the usual rez sickness.

Without stealth, you could still run to Annie and do the same thing. I came in from the lake and it seemd like there were not too many rogues that way. Until you get to the middle.

I don't suggest trying to kill them. You'll still be there when they come out with the second expansion kit.

I have to say that this is the most misleading entry from you all I have read here.

It isn't relevant if a level 32 quest is easy for a level 26 or 28 to solo ... it should be darned hard to solo +4-6 levels up.&nbsp If you are on or close to level, this quest is very, very easy.

I did it as a level 31 Warlock, 1 level below the quest level.&nbsp I pulled each demon one at a time, and not a single one of them was able to heal before I killed them (and I wasn't using shadow bolt at all ... just the DoTs and then wand, with the Voidwalker tanking).&nbsp If you are on or close to level you should be able to do enough damage to these mobs to take them down before they can heal.

Pull one at a time, they pulled easily, not once did I aggro more than one other than at the end of the next quest where you have to kill a 32 with his 29 add (which was also easy).

Honestly, guys, this is not a hard quest at all.&nbsp Just don't be going around doing it at level 26 or level 28 ... do it at level 31 or 32 (it's a level 32 quest, after all) and you will breeze through it for around 9k exp for all three parts.

Did this more out of curiousity to see what she'd say/do since i was tired of dying in the attempt and was about to give up when I stumbled upon this solution.&nbsp Go ahead and die but when you rez, do so right next to her.&nbsp Then immediately click on her and you'll "complete" the quest as you die again.&nbsp I suppose the same could be done without dying the first time by just rushing in and clicking on her.

While at this chain of quests I found it very useful to get the flight path in Talrendis Point, just east of the border, in Azshara -- it will save a lot of walking...

Illiyana has been moved as of 2.0 (Early December).

She used to be by the Shrine of Assenia, but she got moved all the way to the EAST, to Forest Song.&nbsp You'll see her moving around the whole compound among the Night Elves and the Dranei building there.

Coordinates are about 86, 43 but she wanders.&nbsp There's also another wandering NPC that gives a few new quests in this area, but he's hard to miss -- a giant Treeant&nbsp Gnarl the Ancient of War.

I think this is a great move... now you don't have to spend like, an hour moving across Ashenvale just to get to the Satyrs.&nbsp Now she's conveniently nearby.

Kill them one by one. Probably the two near to the dying Anna ment to be killed togeather. You about to level 30 so you'll manage. They usually drop silk and wool, good for tailors.
Anna gives you a quest. Go north
tloc 78, 42 and kill the lvl 32 Gentharis.
The ending NPC is at
tloc 87,43

I did this on a level 29 druid. First, I tried a stealth approach originally and died very many times in the process.

Seeing that wasn't working, I Faerie Fired the Hellcallers and healed myself until they ran out of mana. Then I shifted into cat form and tore them a new one. This worked seamlessly -- so, for any druids out there doing this quest, I hope this bit of advice helps you.

I dont normally post on wowhead, but i made an account to tell you how hard this was for my lvl 29 druid. I tried this many times and died and it really $%^&ed me off. If you try to kill all of the Satyr they respawn quickly and make it difficult. The dudes who shoot fire were my only real problem, but they kept killing me. Finally I got lucky and killed the two nearest Anilia. I was able to use my stealth to get behind the tents in the camp and kill the 2 nearest Anilia. Only these two attacked me and I fought them through the tents (they were on the other side of the tents). If you have stealth maybe you can do it the same as me, good luck.

This is a quest obtained from the dryad in Forest Song. This quest is well-combined with A Shameful Waste.

To reach Anilia, you must either fight your way through Satyrnaar to reach Xavian - behind Satyrnaar - or sneak in from the east of the camp. You can sneak in by going to where the flightpath is in Forest Song, going slightly south, and as soon as the mountains stop, go west.

Once you reach Xavian, there are many satyr to deal with. All of the mobs, once they reach about 10% health, begin casting a heal that will restore them to full. This spell is named 'Gift of the Xavian', and easily interruptable, as it has a long cast. The alternative is to kill them before they can get the heal off.

Anilia is in between two or three tents, with several satyr surrounding her - you may not be able to see her right away, since she's partially hidden by an altar. The majority of these satyr can be single-pulled. However, several of these mobs are usually casters. If you aren't able to immediately silence them, or if you don't want to to run in and agro the whole camp, there are places that you can use line of sight to pull them away from the rest.

Once you have killed the camp, run in and talk to her. She gives you a quest - before she dies - to retrieve the Branch of Cenarius.

After getting the quest from Illiyana, just exit Forest Song near where Kayneth Stillwind resides, you will head toward a path that leads from Forest Song to the main road which goes right by Satyrnaar. Just after leaving Forest Song turn right and follow the ridge that goes behind/ above Satyrnaar, a few spiders and bears, but it leads directly to Xavian. Anilla should appear as a yellow dot on your mini map, but basically she is laying on the ground right in the middle of the Satyr camp by the fire. I tried this quest with my druid at level 32, but got impatient as it took a long time, since I was never able to get a group together I just came back and soloed it easily at lvl 33. After you speak to Anilla you will get the next quest The Branch of Cenarius. I found it on a Satyr through the ruins she points to toward the north (directly behind the camp) his name was Geltharius & he is the only named Satyr in the camp.

When I went to return the quest, Illiyana was walking around. The quest window would open up when I clicked on her but it would almost immediatly close as she kept walking. When she finally returned to her resting spot by the little moon alter I was able to talk to her and turn in the quest.

Rather than going up the river as suggested above, I hugged the northern mountains through Night Run and crossed the lake, then started working my way around and through the Xavians, picking them off one at a time.

The hardest part was just before getting to Anilia there were two level 30 Xavian Rogues too close together to pull just one of them. I got killed a couple of times, but I did manage to pull it off - the trick is to finish each one off BEFORE it pulls its near-death regeneration. When a Xavian's hands start glowing, unload as much damage as you can with your highest-DPS combos, and you should be able to finish it off before it regains its health.

(After that, The Branch of Cenarius was easy.)

Head to the second bridge on the east side of the map and swim north up the river. Once you reach the "origin" of the river, on the east bank you will find the Satyrs. Anilia will be near death in the camp. When you do reach her, she will give her last breath and ask you to kill the boss Satyr (G-something) who is beyond through the gate just to the north (not far at all).

These directions will get you to the satyr camp, but if you check your map you'll actually want to go to the ruins just north of the "S" in Satyr. Took me a bit to find her. Happy hunting!

This was a tough quest (lvl 30 warrior). I killed a couple of satyrs, rushed in over Anilia, got killed. Got rezzed, was able to get the quest completed before being killed again. Got rezzed again, got the followup quest, killed again and this time let the spirit healer rez me - I won't try the follow up without a group.

I slaughtered everything around, clicked on her, killed their leader, left and came back for the vengeance quest.

No death and no trouble.

She's at the top by the way, theres a shortcut there from the side, straight west from the alliance camp

I didn't find this quest to be as difficult as most of these posts are making it out to be.

Take the shortcut (mentioned above), and clear out the 5 or so mobs around the NPC. I killed all five before getting any respawns as a level 30 RESTO druid, so I don't think respawns are that bad. Only got one double pull to boot.

The mobs do pack a punch, and all of them have some sort of racial healing spell, but they only seem to use it below 10% health and it has a long cast time, so if you can play at all you should be able to kill them before they get the cast off.

P.S. I just finished writing this and still no repops. GLHFOMGLOL!
