Bring 1 pile of Kraul Guano to Master Apothecary Faranell in the Undercity.

Description

As you can see, <name>, we're up to some very.... interesting experiments at the Royal Apothecary Society.

As the Master here, it is my job to oversee the most ambitious of our alchemical attempts. So much work and so little time!

You look well traveled for a <class>. Perhaps you can aid me.

I'm in need of a rare substance. It's foul material; it comes from a rare species of bats only found in the muck-hole known as Razorfen Kraul. Bring to me the guano from the Kraul Bats so we can begin our work...

The guano drops off the Kraul Bats, elite mobs that spawn only in the caves at the far west side of the instance. You will have to fight through about three quarters of the dungeon to reach them.

I have stealthed all around looking on the cave floor for <<<BAT DUNG>>>, when I found out that it is not just laying around. For all those wanting to know where it is at you could go to the last chamber before the final boss (Charlga Razorflank) and kill one of the bats. The Guano is on the body after you kill it. May save some time for ya, I hope the msg helps.

Enter instance, stay to the right. You'll cover a lot of ground before you get to the bridges. You are going to cross many bridges before you get to the bats.

Earthcaller Halmar is the only boss you're forced to face. I snuck around her with an invisible potion (recommended). If you choose to fight her, she's gots ants in her pants. Her trick is never holding still in one place and having lots of minions to beat on you while you're trying to chase her (note - I soloed at lvl 41).

The way I found it was upon entering, stay to the right fork of the three. As soon as you can go up to the top level and start crossing bramble bridges and bridges. When you reach Ramtusk, you can bypass him if you wish for this quest. Follow the paths around, and you should find the entrance to the cave (with the bats). I received the drop(ping) on the first bat. Other party member got his the next bat.
If you clear the bat cave, you can open the portal to kill the giant boar.

Be very vigilant at crowd control since the mobs often bring back multiple fresh adds.

Get the quest in the apothecarium in UC, hand it in there too.&nbsp The guano is dropped by the Kraul Bats in Raxorfen Kraul in the chamber before the final boss (lvl 31-32 elite).

There is a quite high drop rate i believe since every bat dropped the #$%^ until everyone in my group had completed the quest.

If ur a rogue or druid or have a god given talent with 500 invisibility potions you can sneak by all the baddies in Razor whatever, get the bat %&$6, then teleport out. The razorpigs are amazingly blind. You can sneak by every single one even if there's only 3 feet between them.

Once you go in then go on the right path of the three branch offs. The cave is in the back with lvl 31 elite bats that drop guano. Doesn't take more than 20 minutes to get there but it's nerveracking until you understand they are totally blind.

&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Ahh the power of druids and rogues!
