A Bump in the Road

Kill 10 Saltstone Basilisks, 10 Saltstone Crystalhides and 6 Saltstone Gazers for Trackmaster Zherin on the Shimmering Flats.

Description

After the big crash with the goblins' Red Thunder racer and a basilisk, Kronkrider hired me on to take care of the track. I don't know what all the animals out on the flats are feeding on to grow so big, but we have to be careful to thin them out so they won't wander onto the track when a race is going on.

Tell you what. If you want to go out and make a little profit, go out and remove the basilisks from the area.

Just work your way down the map - basilisks up north, chrystalhides in the midle and Gazers down south.
They are all between 30 - 34 level wise.

For efficient leveling, I recommend circling the flats doing the following all at once:

A Bump In The Road
- The crystalhides are spread all across the Shimmering Flats, kill them as you go
- Be sure to get all 10 of the Basilisks from the pit at (88, 65).
- Be sure to get all 10 of the Basilisks from the lake at (78, 87)

Load Lightening (hit up 87,65 for a bunch)
Rocket Car Parts Only in the northern part of the zone, be sure to get all of them while you're there.
Salt Flat Venom Big group at (72, 73)
Hardened Shells Lots grouped at (82, 55)

The above coordinates are correct, but for those without them, a large group of gazers and crystalhides are located around the Tahonda Ruins south of the raceway camp (you can easily fulfill both of those quotas just from the saltstones in that area). The basilisks are concentrated to the north of the camp in Weazel's Crater.

2650 xp at 37 too! Get the Rocket Car parts quest nearby too, since if you make a circut of the track, you'll hit the right mobs and the parts are strewn everywhere and it's another free 2000xp, especially @37

The crater north of the quest giver is also very good for Basilisks and Crystalhides, with good spawnrates and a high concentration of the mobs you need.
I don't know the spawnrate on the ones to the south, but it may seem that the Crystalhides spawn more often there.

Where are the altstone gazers i cant find any. Abnd dont give me a point Cosmos doesnt work, give me a direction in shimemering flats like south east, north west, etc. thanks

Solo'ed as hunter 29. Ez mode, just let your pet tank and try not to overaggro. If you do kite the mob till he's dead.

I was able to kill level 34 Gazers as a level 29 Hunter. Had to use my fire and ice traps and run away a few times, but it was doable.
