Deadmire

Bring Deadmire's Tooth to Melor in Thunder Bluff.
Deadmire's Tooth

Description

Deadmire is an ancient crocolisk in Dustwallow marsh. And it is his time to die.

Old bones grind as he pulls his huge body through the swamp, and although he still moves with the strength and speed of youth, his aging body tortures the great spirit within it, a spirit whose flame will not waver.

Yet now he lives in constant, maddening pain. You must end the life of this noble creature, <name>. You must lead Deadmire to peace.

Look for a large white crocolisk roaming the rivers of the Quagmire or the Dragonmurk. He has a pretty big patrol route, so you will likely be doing some running. He's level 45, non-elite, so finding him is the hardest part of the quest.

And if you forget where to turn this in, the guy is on Hunter Rise in Thunder Bluff.

The stretch of river leading north/northeast from STONEMAUL RUINS on your map is where you need to be, he swims up and down that. He is a huge brute, a dull white crocodile that is unmistakable, just check the screen and you'll not miss him. Easily found with Track Beasts as a Hunter.

47, 56 is where he met his end for me.

Start your search as it says under subject, and follow the water north (north with a little tilt to the east)... Look for something BIG and WHITE. Was ok to kill solo for a lev 41 protection warrior.

I must say I waited by the wrong pool also, there are a few islands with pools. The one it's at is a tiny island with a small pool. Just north of "Stonemaul Ruins".

I killed him at level 38 as a Hunter Engineer.

Freezing Trap, Aimed Shot, he gets frozen, Gnomish Death Ray, sic pet and trigger dragonling, scorpid sting then just lay the smackdown on him. Not only did my pet not die, but the time on my Dragonling didn't expire. Used a basic little Trueshot bow thing and am MM up to Aimed Shot then all BM, so he's not that much of a challenge.

I've seen Deadmire a couple times now and even killed him for the Horde quest. He seems to be level 41 now, not level 45. The quest is still listed as level 45 though.

Well just solo'd him with my lvl 37 tauren druid, no problems.

Claw and Rake until 5 points, then Rip and heal...three of four times and he's dead.

Wasn't easy but doable at lvl 37

Soloed lvl 41 hunter.. was so easy that you can't even imagine.. I think its because my talents are in beast mastery so my pet crits like 150 and my pet had 1800/2200 health left :D

Soloed him as a lvl 40 Warlock, had to summon a 2nd voidwalker and sac them both but beat him. All warlock recomend you use curse of the elements to lower his resistance first or he will resist all fire you throw at him

Solo with a lvl 38 Druid. He may be an easy lvl 45, but +7 lvls is a hell of a difference. Had to use one of my health potions (I can't remember which one) and after two bouts of healing I ended it with 20% hp left. Unless you have potions/scrolls to burn, I'd suggest waiting for lvl 40.

The cords are correct for 46,55 and 47,58 as he moves back and forth in the water. You are better off doing it next to the building since there are less mobs to agro there.

I attained this quest at lv 38.

Deadmire is a very easy lv 45 beast. Solo kill as a lv 42 Shaman. Had 50% of my energy remaining when I finished, got 3900 XP.

Solo'd as lvl 40 shadow priest. He was real hard. resisted lots of spells. resisted half my wand damage. Had to use fear and first aid, drink 2 potions and every trick I had and even had a lvl 38 add when he was at 25% health but I did emerge victorious :)
Very close to 47,58

Soloed as lvl 39 hunter.

Random crocolisk aggroed on my pet. Killed Deadmire, then barely killed croc.

Keep an eye on mobs...they seem to come from nowhere.

Also, all coords here are accurate, he walks in circles in the water. Keep an eye out though, there's also a lvl 39 elite named flesh ripper...or something like that.

When you get to the coords listed (near tabetha's hut) just hand out by the stream and wait. He wanders back and forth along the stream. In the meantime you can kill some other things to keep you occupied.
