Description

Cursed muckshell! You can't kill Marg! Ah, but I am dead. So it must have slain me...

But my mission! My mission! You, <name>, must complete it.

While near Theramore, I spied a group of Alliance soldiers camped on the beach. And one soldier wore a pendant... a pendant laden with more gems than any soldier could afford!

That night I snuck into their camp and stole the pendant, but on my return to base a muckshell crab-man killed me!

<name>, you must find that muckshell and recover the pendant!

Starts with:

The Lost Report
- Dig at the "Loose Dirt" at Swamplight Manor, Swamp Eye Jarl's current residence.
- Receive "Spy's Report".
- Return it to Nazeer Bloodpike in Brackenwall Village.
- Nazeer Bloodpike mentions concern over a certain spy but says nothing more.
= Experience and Faction with Orgrimmar.

The Severed Head
- Return to the "Loose Dirt" and dig some more.
- Receive "Defiant Orc Head".
- Return it to Nazeer Bloodpike.
= Experience and Faction with Orgimmar.

The Troll Witchdoctor
- Speak with Nazeer Bloodpike again.
- Take the "Defiant Orc Head" to Kin`weelay in Grom`Gol Base Camp (Stranglethorn Vale).
- Kin`weelay takes the head and puts it in his 'bubbling cauldron' right next to him.
- Kin`weelay tells you to speak to the head in the cauldron.
= Experience and Faction with Dark Spear Trolls.

Marg Speaks
- Consult the head in the 'bubbling cauldron'.
- Marg wants you to kill Muckshells to get back a pendant that he stole from a human.
- Take the pendant to Nazeer Bloodpike.
= Experience and Faction with Orgrimmar.

Report to Zor
- Nazeer Bloodpike wants you to take the pendant to Zor Lonetree in Orgrimmar.
- Give the pendant to Zor Lonetree, located just inside Thrall's Fortress.
= Experience and Faction with Orgrimmar.

Service to the Horde
- Speak with Zor Lonetree again.
- As thanks, choose between two ring rewards.
= Ring, Experience, 1 gold 10 silver, and Faction with Orgrimmar.

At 58.46 there is a shipwreck surounded by various muckshells. There are about 7 or 9 fixed spawns. Their lvls are around 40.

There is an other wreck close to 55.63 the lvls there are around 43

As of 2.3 the mobs involved in this quest are all level 36-38, but confirmed to still drop the Jeweled Pendant (I got mine off a Muckshell Scrabbler). Don't get discouraged and start thinking they've changed how to fulfill this quest, or thrown off by the fact a quest that's yellow at 42 requires killing level 36 critters (who are just barely green).

I got my drop at 53,43.&nbsp

I was grinding down in the 55,63 area for a while with no luck.&nbsp The Muckshells down there are higher level and there's less land to play with.&nbsp

The Muckshells in the 53,43 area are a couple levels lower and therefore an easier grind, drop rate is still terrible but it goes faster.

At 55,62, there's a sunken ship completely surrounded by these crab people. Some of them are casters and heal themselves, so bring your kick/pummel/etc.

17th kill for me.

This quest didn't take me long at all. I only had to kill about 6 of the muckshells and the pendant dropped for me. Just hang out in Tidefury Cove and you'll get the pendant.&nbsp

I found the item on the first kill at 54-39.
It was indeed a level 40 mob, however the quest reads for me as a level 40 quest(so maybe something was corrected).

I was swimming across the bay... trying to escape from a thresher when a muckshell clacker attacks me.&nbsp I thought, what the heck? I might as well kill it and BOOM!&nbsp The Pendant drops.&nbsp Im a lucky guy i guess!&nbsp And BTW... also got mine at 51,35... freaky.....

I have grinded these for over 35.000 xp getting 194 xp per kill.

This equals to 180 Clackers. So far the item have yet to reveal itself.

On my other character, I got it on the third kill.
Guess its all about luck really.

I killed hundreds of mobs at 58,62 over two nights, nothing. Got the pendant on my third kill at 59,45. The Johana horde guide directs you to the higher level guys which is why I persisted. Frustrating........

This one has a follow up quest that seems not listed, the npc gives you the pendant back to give to Zor in Orgrimmar ( Report to Zor), though Zor looks at it,takes it, and asks himself if maybe there is something inside the pendant, and that is that..seems like there is something missing.

I had better luck with the Muckshells around the ship at 59, 45 (the level 39ish Muckshells).

I was at the ship around 58, 62 (higher level Muckshells, low 40s) for at least an hour with no luck. I went to the lower level ones and got the pendant on the 6th drop.

This quest was excruciating. Took around an hour and a half to get it and around 100 kills. It's entirely in water, so the slow movement speed coupled with the terrible drop rate will make you rip your hair out. I suggest leveling to 41-42 so you can attack the crabs in Tidefury Bay. They are more concentrated in one area so you don't have to swim around as much. If you're not that high, there is a sunken ship near Theramore that has a decent spawn of crab people. If you swim in one big circle/oval around the penisula and stop at the boat, you should be able to keep a constant kill rate up, albeit slow with the swimming.

its worth doing in my eyes , nice xp , yeah the drop rate sucks but the rings at the endand are, for casters 6sta/6int/4spirit and melee it was something like 9str/sta , both are blues
