Jammal'an the Prophet

The Atal'ai Exile in The Hinterlands wants the Head of Jammal'an.
Head of Jammal'an

Description

My Witherbark companions don't take kindly to strangers around their home.

Me? I don't have a home anymore. I was exiled from my people, the great Atal'ai tribe of the Swamp of Sorrows.

Our spiritual leader, Jammal'an, had what he called a prophecy. He believes the summoning of the god, Hakkar will bring the Atal'ai immortality.

But I urged caution. What if the prophecy was nothing more than manipulation?

I want revenge for my exile. Bring me Jammal'an's head. Maybe then my people will be free.

The snake statues are for a different part of the dungeon.

In order to be able to kill Jammal'an, you have to clear out his protectors. there are a series of 6 (8?) undead trolls (ghosts) on balconies that you must kill first. to get to them, from the entrance of the instance, go to the right middle hallway and go up the stairs. clear all the way around. then to get to the prophet, go back to the instance entrance, and go left, up the spiral, then clear clockwise around the circle and go through the first hallway to your left that actually goes somewhere.

Jammal'an's chambers are guarded by groups of trolls that like to fear you, i suggest you pull groups of them into the hallway to fight, with you facing the chamber at all times so when you get feared you dont run into the chamber.

If you have mana drain for Jammal'an himself, it will help as he likes to mind control/fear folks. )

When getting up to this guy watch out! The Undead fear you so make sure to stay back and have someone pull. If you get feared too close to the group, you'll tag the whole room.

This boss isn't tough at all, the room is hard though.

MOBS
They have fear, and it's really annoying when they fear you into the other groups. We started with the far left, which was composed of two trolls but you might have good success on either side. Recommend you have counter-fear such as Tremor totems

BOSS
He isn't hard. Sheep the guy beside him if you can. Have everyone focus on him and he'll drop like a sack of potatoes. Then focus on the other guy. Bam! And it's in the bag.

Remember to kill ALL the named trolls on the top floor first or the shield wont come down....it works best if ye do a little clean up first. The mobs are not hard to kill if ye can get a group together in their 50's.....happy hunting!

You turn in the quest at the south of the hinterlands. It is in the walled off area down south w/ the three temples. The guy you turn the quest in to is located to the left side of the stairs as you climb them. About half way up. Do not use the stairs though. You can just as easy climb the hill to the left of the stair. That way you will not aggro the mobs at the alter on top.

Oh and it is the middletemple (directly across the lake) as you head into the area through the entrance.
It is also the furthest south of all the other bldgs in th e compound. Good luck but you wont need it as this turn in is so easy.

this isn't mentioned, but the legs are very viable for a priest doing the 39 bracket or the helmet for a paladin doing the 39 bracket, it may not be the best possible but having a lvl 50 helm or legs is a very nice advantage. btw min for ST is lvl 35

turn the quest in inside shadra alor south of hiri watha. once you enter the 'buildings' entrance, you'll see a small pond--the temple right behind it will have atal'ai chillin' outside on the left side of the steps--you'll have no problem figuring out how to get to him from there unless your brain is seriously malfunctioning&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp *~sK~*

St aka Sunken Temple? The Temple of Atal'Hakkar is located in the eastern part of Swamp Of Sorrows.
Once you enter a place with alot of steps leading to a temple, you will have to deal with a green 47 elite dragon. After you kill him, run down the paths and dive into the instance.
Jammal is only reachable if all Mini-Bosses have been killed in the upper level of Sunken Temple, otherwise a massive green shield will be blocking you.
He is very easy to kill but if you got the quest from someone sharing it to you, then the quest giver is located in the southen part of Hinterlands, Shadra Alor (something like that) and half way up a temple.

Found the exile at 33,75 (CTmod). Go to the very south part of Shadra'Alor. There's a broken-down temple and the exile is on a platform on the left as you face it (the east side).

As stated above, make sure to pull groups back into the unocuppied area because they can fear you. A Fear Ward on the tank or a PvP trinket that breaks fear will work well. Watch out for the spirit/ghost that will appear occassionaly. If possible, just move away from them (they float slowly around after certain mobs die). They hit hard and are a pain to kill. They will despawn in a few seconds so there is no need to fight them. Clear the room first and then attack the Boss.

Pull groups one at a time into the room before the main chamber, get as far back as possible because some of the mobs can cast fear, and if u get feared and run into the main room you might agro a ton; the ghost that appear cannot be killed as they are immune to everything, and they will despwn after a few seconds but be sure to get away from them because they do indeed "hit hard" (it isnt that hard because they have an extremely slow movement speed)
All in all the boss isnt that hard if your tank and healer is good

we cleared all 6 of the green glowing trolls all which were standing on balconys, and then we jumped down after our last troll and fought all, and i mean ALL dragonkins. then we went down and saw he was in a room with about 5-6 mobs of 3. pulled a mob one at a time, (becareful to pull them with a curse or something and walk BACK, they will fear you and you will run into the room and aggro them all)

then after that, kill jammal. easy peasy!

I wish that everyone would actually post about the quest, how to get to the objective and achieve it in their experience instead of wasting space telling about the xp, the rewards, and the color of your underwear, and whether or not you got the head drop. Post some real info or don't post at all. This quest is located at the sunken temple at the pool of tears in the Swamp of Sorrows. Does anyone have any clue about the direct path to Jammal'an or not? What are the obstacles involved and how many of a group is needed to achieve the goal? Simple questions require simple answers. Info please...thank you

Kill the 7 trolls that circle the big room with all the dragonkin when the last one is killed, you'll hear a quote from Jammal'an. That's the cue to know you can enter the room.

The quest is listed under Sunken Temple in your quest log...and it's labeled as a 'Dungeon' quest...put 2 and 2 together. You have to travel to Sunken Temple (Also known as the Temple of Atal'Hakkar) to find Jammal'an.

So...for those looking for him in Shandra'Alor, he's not there. He's specifically inside of the Sunken Temple.

33.75 is correct.

In The Hinterlands. Shadra'Alor.

On left side of temple, which is SW of pond. As you approach the pyramid you can see him on top left side with question mark over his head ( Someone shared this quest with me at Sunken Temple ).

Don't even have to fight your way to him. Climb up hill on his left and drop down next to him.

At level 52 I got 6550 XP turning in this quest. And the pants were nice too.
