for all that want to do this q just ignore the locations provided above........this q item is dropped tottaly random......to get it u`ll have to kill some nagas [tidehunters or sea witch].The item drops only from those in the water.....depending on your luck this can take from 1 kill to lots.....so GL

Roetten Stonehammer can be found at point 69,21 in northern IF, he moves a bit but generally stays within that general area.

I spent close to an hour waiting for the drop while just beating up on Tidehunters and Witches.&nbsp I got mine off a Tidehunter on Ranaz(whatever) Isle.&nbsp It probably took me around 10 Witches and 20 Tidehunters before getting the drop.&nbsp Check out the quest reward to see if this is worth the trouble.&nbsp Good luck.

i killed about 8 mobs before it dropped.
i recommend swimming to the island where there is a large concentration of the higher level ones (big island on the map)

I believe that Sea Witches are probably more likely to drop these got mine from one, who was located on the SE beach of the big island.&nbsp Killed about 20 mobs before it dropped,&nbsp it was about the 4th or 5th witch and the rest were tidehunters.&nbsp

Wish I hadn't wasted my time on the ones in the sea and almost drowning!&nbsp ^^

this is the spot where you can find breathing air, if you happen to not have air potions, or are a warlock.&nbsp took about 3 kills for me to find the blasted thing.

yea i got it from about the 7th or 8th guy i killed on the BIG island. there was no need to go in the water. watch out for giant......he's a 39 elite. i had a hard time killing him and i'm a 44 warrior. decent xp when you turn in quest and i got 2 blue drops from the 8 naga i killed. well worth it!

It doesn't matter if you're in the water, or on land, you just have to do what the quest says and kill all the Tide Hunters and Sea Witches to the NW until this drops. Some people will get it in 1 kill, some in 100.

the second part its a chest at 36,30 on beach, n the drop i got it from 2nd tidehunter killed at 37,14

I went to 33.10 and dove down into a ruin under the water.&nbsp There was a sea witch I killed it, and got the stachel, first drop.

I got was able to get it at 36,12.&nbsp You need to use the bubble fissure to breath.

Got one on my 6th one...not too bad.

I found the satchel after I killed my first tidehunter. . .it was right off the coast of that island where you have to summon that one naga lord and find the treasure chest. . =)

i killed two underwater then about 5 above water, dropped on the island after the 5th kill..easy

The guy who says they only drop underwater is mistaken.

I got mine on the island.&nbsp Just look at the drop percentage for the item if you want to see your chances of getting the satchel.

I am sure I did this quest a few days ago, but I couldn't find the Satchel anywhere.&nbsp I think it disappears if you do not deliver it fairly quickly.

If you can't find Roetten Stonehammer then here are the coords or location.

Coords = 69.21 or 67.17

Location = Hall of Explorers

It dropped for me from a tidehunter on land, near the ruins. Was about to give up after just 10 kills,(get bored easily) but it dropped on the eleventh, hehe.

Any of the mentioned quest mobs can drop it be it on the island or elsewhere. It's a very low chance, but staying on the island is fine.

The satchel is an item dropped, in desolace, by a Sea Witch or Tidehnter. The turn in is first in desolace. The guy in desolace then tells you to take the satchel to Ironforge.

As of patch 2.3, this quest gives 3100 xp when turned in. ( I was level 37 at the time of the turn in )

Got mine of a witch at /tloc 34,10.&nbsp Its very deep, bring some potions to stay under water longer.&nbsp Got it of the first witch.&nbsp

As suggested, I went to the big island and got the bag on the second drop.

its realy easy i get it in the 3th mob you have 4 srot you need tidehunter and another 1 look in q message so easy is it its on the island dam easy

just killed them on land and in water finally dropped from tide hunter on land

On the map it's about a 1/2 inch from the southern part of Ranazjar Isle.

I killed in that big island where rockmere treasure is and that summoning the naga for the book quest.&nbsp No drop there.&nbsp I killed around the island, no drop there.&nbsp Re-read quest.&nbsp It said along the coast north of where the chest was, I went along that and killed nagas, no drop either.&nbsp Re-read quest, it said in some ancient NE ruin and deep underwater, so I went along that black strip of water next to the big island, along that black strip there are some NE ruins down that the bottom near the black strip (if you're getting exhausted bar, then you're right on the black strip and that's not where you want to be).&nbsp I went from ruin to ruin along that black strip.&nbsp Was about to give up.&nbsp Came to one where there was a clam bubbles and a ruin that looks like a temple, but it's note.&nbsp All in there are lvls 37 (it was all warriors to me).&nbsp After 3-4 kills, the satchel dropped.&nbsp tip: use the clam bubble - it's your friend to be down there for a long period.&nbsp Or, bring a worlock for you.&nbsp This quest should be super easy for a worlock around this level, 30+.&nbsp I was a hunter.&nbsp I just hate that darn breathing bar when underwater.

most NW island in desolace. 29,9 as people said before only the Sea Witch and Tidehunter's drop them. Look around and on the island to find. took me 15 min of killing to get it

i went down to the spot people and quest giver told me to go and spent a good amount of time killing and getting air from air bubbles, finally i decided to try the island and got the satchel from the first sea witch i killed. Go figure.

got it on the 3rd kill underwater.

idk what you guys are on about the second guy i killed dropped this satchel it was a tidehunter btw down the bottom of the ocean at (37,17) its a long way down and my friend ran outa breath and died and he had to walk all the way from kodo GY haha

Wheres the satchel? Coordinates?

Just to clarify for the people months ago who couldn't do this quest and for future readers.

I spent about 20-30 min wiping the island of Naga. Nothing. Re-read quest. You need to go for swim. Go south and a little east of the island where the unwater ruins are. Its deep but Blizz thankfully placed some of those nifty air bubbly things that let you breath.

Went down there and got item off of 1st Tidehunter I blasted. Just be careful to read AND understand the quest.

The lack of understanding is probably one reason why many think questing is worthless.

Oh yeah, I say blast bc I'm a mage :-)

He meant coords for the satchel, not the dwarf, silly! Actually there are no coords, it's dropped by either the Tidehunter or seawitch nagas. Good luck!

The quest is not from Hall of Explorers. The original is from the dwarf at Nigels Point, and every subsequent quest.

I've killed every Sea Witch and Tidehunter in the game 5 times and I haven't gotten it yet. Gotta love epic drop rates for quest items.
