Atal'ai Tablet (10)

Description

According to legend, The Temple of Atal'Hakkar is a holy shrine dedicated to the ancient god, Hakkar the Soulflayer. Maintained by a vicious tribe of trolls named the Atal'ai, the temple is rumored to be impenetrable.

Now sunk beneath the Pool of Tears, retrieving artifacts from the temple is even more difficult. But that's what I need you to do, <name>.

Aid me by gathering the intact Atal'ai Tablets. Bring them to me and I will return to the Explorers' Guild a hero. Together we will share the glory.

I just figured I'd mention this, since it wasn't obvious: Any time you gain reputation with any single alliance/horde faction (I.e. Orgrimmar, Darnassus, etc), you always automatically get a quarter of the reputation with each of the other factions as well.

In this case, you'd not only get 125 rep with Exodar, but also with Darnassus, Stormwind and Gnomeregan as well.

Edit: It doesn't actually show it in your combat log - it only shows that you gained rep with the main faction involved. But if you actually look at your rep screen before and after turning in a quest, you'll see that they've increased. Also, this isn't the case for ALL quests... Just most of them. Runecloth turn-ins for instance, only give rep with one faction.

When you enter the temple, before entering the instance and facing any mobs at all, there are three tablets you can loot. One is under water right in the center of the room and the other 2 are on the tables on either side. The respawn time is about 8 min or so, but, this means anyone at the min lvl req can complete this quest without ever facing a mob here.

You can collect all the tablets outside the instance. Just wait for some of the easy areas to respawn.

Even if the reward is useless (to some people), one would still need to know where the tablets are located... are they all over the sunken temple? are they just in one room? Do you have to go inside the instance? Any info at all would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance...

The first quest that Brohann Caskbelly will send you off on is (43) In Search of the Temple. You don't even need to go into the temple. The quest completes as soon as you get in the vicinity of the temple, while you're in the water. The next quest Brohann gives you is (43) To The Hinterlands.

You don't have to go too deep into the temple as the previous threads say.&nbsp But also, the tablets respawn fairly quickly. Get the 3 tablets in the flooded room wait a while and get three more, and repeat. Really ugly way of completing this quest, but hey? It works.

Level 39 Night Elf Warrior (arms focus).

warning, i am very bored and this is a step by step "talk as i walk" adventure story )

i got the first of the strings for 'finding the temple' at 39 (i stumbled across it farming for emerald whelps). i checked thottbot and went to SW to see where to go at 43, he gave it to me at 39 wOOt!

solo, i started in darkshire and ran through, went south at first sign of trolls and avoided crocs and such, dove in pool and complete! hearth back (someone shoot me for not making SW my home).
3600XP

next quest, 'to the hinterlands', lucky for me i found aerie peak farming for sungrass a few levels back (i don't recomend it, armor costs money!) suffice it to say, walking around the hinterlands at level 35 sucks...
1800XP

gryphon master talonaxe: 900XP

rhapsody shindigger, great... have i mentioned that i hated walking through the hinterlands?
at this point it's not the level of the creatures between aerie peak and anywhere else, it's the quantity of them. killed one wolf and found the camp, literally due-east.
1880XP

rhapsody's kalimdor kocktail, are you kidding? well, anything orange is do'able so, here i go...
died, res'ed and flew-sailed-flew to gadgetzan.
well, that was easier than i expected,
3 rocs right near the flight point 819XP (lucky)
luck runs out in feralas:
8 bears and one wolf later: 2388XP
now the apes, shortcut past hoard camp, long swim to other side. nine apes, 2 livers and 2595XP later, hearthed to darkshire to fix armor, flew to SW to stock up on potions and heading back.
one hour, 1 ape, 1 liver and 325XP later and it's back to rhapsody.
2713
3600XP to complete and about 2800 in getting there not bad.

rhapsody's tale: 2700XP

into the temple of Atal'Hakkar:
invis potion past lvl47 elite jade dragon, hangin out in broken hall to pick up the tablets, luckily this room stays empty and i just have to wait for the 3 tablets to regen 4 times. hearthed to darkshire and back to SW
Guardian talisman and 7100XP

so to tally up with the random kill along the way 25,000 XP.

:)

------
Starbender, aka xyln

if you have doubts i'm on runetotem server as Starbender, still lvl 39 but not for too long, and i'll show you the talisman.

As earlier posts say just hang out the instance in the "broken Hall" 3 tablets spawn aprox every 6 minutes.

7100 XP at lvl 50 also.

The quest has been nerfed. There are now only two tablets in The Broken Hall, one under water and one upstairs to the right. But they do respawn every seven minutes, so it's still easy to do in half an hour.

Yep.&nbsp Many tablets can be found outside the instance.&nbsp I did it at 47.

I have one other quest for ST that's pally spec but I can't believe there's only one quest for an instance.

If you are a pally, it's worth doing ST, esp. Forging the Mightstone, early. You get your choice of three blues: Lightforged Blade (lvl 47 2h sword), Chivalrous Signet (ring) or Sanctified Orb (trinket) plus 1g55s plus a Holy Mightstone.

I know I've done Rhaposdy's quests because he got drunk & passed out on me but I don't know if he gave me this one. I may have to go to the Hinterlands again & find out.

there are 3 legit reasons to do this quest.

if you're a part-time tank druid (hopefully wearing Green Whelp armor), 2% will proc enough and the 350 armor becomes 1260 in dire bear form. that's nothing to laugh at.

the reputation is nice, and no one ever turns down easy XP.

Enter the temple and lower the stairs untill you find the room filled with water. Swim under water to reach the Broken Hall. Once in the Hall you can go to the surface (is a short swim so you dont need underwater breath buff).

This Hall is safe and 3 tablets are in it. Two of them are at the nothern end of the hall, one at each side of the corridor opening there these are over the surface. The other one is underwater, just lowering the stairs found northen part of the hall.

As posted earlier, respawn time of the tables is 6,5 mins aprox. But not always all tablets respawn at their time, so perhaps you will have to wait more. (In my case, the western tablet did not respawn even once.)

All this happen before entering the instance and there is not any aggro at any moment (well, but perhaps some fool level 40 fish while reaching the temple across the Pool of Tears). If you are passing by the Swamp and have this quest in your log, stop at the temple and pick the tablets. Even if the reward is useless, this is the easiest exp I have gained accross 50 levels.

By the pool, there are 3 tablets. 2 above water, 1 under. 8-9 minutes respawn. Just have to wait.

This quest is to collect 10 tablets. They're scattered about the Temple, both inside and outside the actual instance. It's an easy quest and doesn't hurt to pick it up (if you don't mind the prereqs) for the extra exp and rep.

Did all quest yesterday and also the "grey" quest which asks me to go to the temple. Then I returned it to Stormwind, sending me to the Hinterlands. Talking to a guy which stands near the gryphon, he sends me inside the building, who tells me what I am looking for, this guy moved east, so go to the Lodge and north of it there is a camp.

He sends you to tanaris and feralas, I logged out in Gadgetzan, did the ones in Feralas. Maybe I will do another temple run, I'm not sure though. at lvl 55 the XP points are quite low. But gained 14 Gold with only 63 silver repair ( plate )

I did all these quests, since I thought it was the Ancient Egg pre-requisite.

I solo'd the quest as 41 mage. I got 7.1k quest experience for just going to the Temple, get the 3 tablets, wait a few minutes and repeat the "getting tablets part".

Not bad :)
