Description

As Naralex descended deeper into his nightmare, a strange breed of beasts arose from beneath the Barrens into the Wailing Caverns.

These deviate creatures have strange, otherworldly properties. While evil in nature, it is my opinion that some good can come from their existence here in Kalimdor. I believe their hides will be of particular use in the ways of leatherworking.

If you feel up to the task, venture into the caves below and retrieve some deviate hides.

at WC above entrance.... u need to get on top of entrance, go to edge of of rock face (dont fall off)turn around and u will c 2 holes in the rock face&nbsp go through one on the left and u will c about 5 guys and thats where u finsh quest

To get to the quest giver, you have to get into the wailing caverns in a special way.
When facing the entrance to the instance, (while still outside of it, it should say you are in the barrens) you should see that the entrance looks like a face. The questgivers are in the left eye. To get there, climb up the mountain, drop onto the head, drop onto the brow, drop onto the nose, face the instance, and go into the eye on the left

I felt other posts were not very descriptive so lemme help. There is another tiny cave over the entrance to WC and the cords are 46/36. You have to walk around the mesa thing and try to get up to the top then walk toward the top of the cave, once you get to the top jump down to the 2nd set of the rock ledge. then from there move your window thing with your mouse and look for a hole in the rocks, jump down but not all the way, only to the next ledge and tada! grats you're in. <3

Nalpak is located in a small aclove outside of WC, up on the mountain. There's 1 small aclove you can get to fairly easy above the entrance and on the right side. The aclove that Nalpak is in is on the left side. You have to climb up the montain a lot higher, than drop down from above to get in. I ended up dropping down onto the rock that seperated the left and right acloves, then moved into the left one to find the small cave entrance.

To get up the mountain, go in the backside, suggesting the west side and climb from their.

This quest is helpful if you need more bag space. I recomend the bag if you aren't in immediate need of decent armor. In Wailing Caverns there are good leggings. That's just my advice.
P.S: Skin everything, perfect deviate scales worth good money.

u dont need to be on wailing caverns to do this quest
just grind outsind the instance.....same thing with http://classicdb.ch/?quest=962
since of patch 2.3 a lot of quests have been gone from hard to easy or even from east to noob prove.... hope this helps ya

We did this last night with a group of people. After running Wailing Caverns we had to spend another hour or so grinding mobs outside the instance to get enough hides.

If two or three people in the group are doing the quest, you could probably do it during the dungeon run. All five? There's just not enough hides dropped.

Milesthirst is correct, but this is NOT a dungeon-nessicary quest. i found that you can get the deviate hides from the mobs OUTSIDE the instance in the big circular room.
