Call of Earth

Find Kodo Rock and drink the Earth Sapta.
Provided Item:
Earth Sapta

Description

A sapta is a drink created to bind our spirits to the elements. Fused with magic, the potion will allow the open minded to see the elements as no one has seen them before. Your spirit will forever be tied to the element the sapta was created for, and only a select few of our kind know the secrets of its creation.

The sapta is always imbibed in a holy place, and never anywhere else.

Seek out the shaman shrine to the east of here and drink of the sapta.

Kodo Rock is at 53, 80. If you head down to the well where Greatmother Hawkwind and go directly East you will see it, big rock with a Symbol on it.

It's east of the well where the Chief's mom is, in an open field well short of the mountains.&nbsp This quest causes alot of frustration because the only real distinguishing feature of the area (a monolith type thing) isn't visible until you're right on top of it.&nbsp Especially if you have your terrain distance set to minimum.&nbsp I spent about an hour finding it, it wasn't a very fun hour =/

I think the confusion is with the Tauren or a Orc/Troll. The coordinates for Orcs and Trolls are as follows:

Hidden path: 41,73
(if you dont have cosmos)
Head due south from the den

Shamen Shrine: 43,76
(if you dont have cosmos)
just follow the path till you find a big blue rock (the only thing that doesn't look like it belongs there)

Stand in front of it and drink the sapta and a very large rock thing will appear "minor manifestation of earth"

right click on it to talk with it and you finish the quest.

YOU DONT HAVE TO FIGHT ANYTHING

Kodo Rock is hard to find because if your not within 15 yards you can't see the giant pillar. From the pillar you can see the nearby well and the city fence. It's basically between the Bramblevine opening and nearby well. There are KOS boars sparsly roaming around. I'd call it East of the well and only a smidgit north in between well and bramblevine opening.

For those having as much trouble finding this as I did, I decided to write a clear guide to help everyone in the future to save them the frustration.

The pillar is VERY close to the well with the old shaman lady (her name is "Greatmother Hawkwind"). [There are a few wells in the Mulgore zone, so in case you've gotten lost: this well is nextdoor to Camp Narache, about 100 steps south east).]

One oddity about this pillar is that you usually can't see it in the distance until you are right next to it.&nbsp

If you can't find the pillar, here's a description of it's location:

Notice how the landscape here has many small hills and mounds the pillar is upon one of these. A hint to find out which mound it lies upon is this simple fact: the mound with the pillar has a small circle of dirt on top.&nbsp You can simply spot it from either the well or even from Narache.&nbsp Take about 10 steps north of the well, then head east about 50 steps.&nbsp

Just so anyone who reads this doesn't feel stupid after they realize how easy it was... I think it's a mistake on blizzards part for making the pillar stay invisible until you are right next to it, they needed a better description in the quest.&nbsp Some people just got lucky by hitting it, but others ran way past it and got completely confused.

Make sure to talk to the Minor Manifestation of Earth before he disappears, or you will have to do the quest all over again.

I copied this across from the comments on the equivalent quest for orc/troll shaman. Seemed it belonged here better, although I can't comment on the usefulness, as I haven't tried tauren shaman.

From here down is copied directly from Waalken's comment...

Really easy way for Tauren Shaman from another site (user watlymazi)...

Okay. The quest giver is in Mulgore .. making it only for Tauren. Orcs and trolls get one in Durotar. Thank you.

Second, you do drink the sapta to see the spirit.

For those who do not know, are only useable in third party programs such as COSMOS for World of Warcraft, you cannot use them without these unofficial add ons. I do not know the url for cosmos as I can't be bothered looking it up, google it. It has all the instructions. Be warned, it does not work 100 percent with patch 1.7, some issues have come up like certain chat channels not responding etc

Guys I went and looked for kodo rock and found it in like 2 minutes. Just look for the lady from the well (where you start rites of earth mother)
And if it says you need to be near an earth shrine or what ever... I think you need to be in front of it.

i had a really difficult time finding it, but i found another strategy that might work now.

go to the well and stand exactly next to greatmother on her right.

line up your heads in profile from her left.

you'll see on the top half of your screen 2 trees on the left, 2 trees in the center, and 1 tree on the right.

that last one is the lone tree that was spoken of.

as you get close to it the rock will start to appear.

good luck!
