You need an Alchemy skill of at least 20 before this quest can begin. The best available place to get herbs is in the Night Elf starting area if you are Alliance

my alch's about 289, 290

Go to swamp of sorrows.&nbsp North of Grom Gul.&nbsp
You gotta jump through hoops but i think it was east of duskwood run through mountains, trees, etc or run into 60 guards.&nbsp just keep running and running.&nbsp hopefully, someone from grom gul level around 42, 43 will show you the way, like it happened for me (after dying 4 times on my own).&nbsp well, get to swamp and train with the artisan trainer.&nbsp Then, the rest are drops or AH (auction).&nbsp I'm on mannorath..give me a tell.

Tanaris, outside shimmering flats, also has an alch trainer.&nbsp there's a quest for major healing potion somewhere, but can't remember where i found it...somewhere in thott.

There is an horde quest to. It starts in Ratchet. You have to collect 8 roots (quest item) and u get a Leather chest from it. So its not really a great quest. :S Is there any other quests?

Yes there is a quest for the horde. it is for the discolored healing potion... however i don't know where in silverpine forest to get it. ><

How do I get her to give me this quest? I made the potions and walked right up to her, but she will not speak to me. I'm now level 9 and have decent herbalism and alchemy skill.
Is there some sort of pre-quest?

The Horde alchemy quest is acquired at a farmstead first one you stumble across when you follow the road down south. Someone's dying inside, and there are Ravenclaws or summin' like that outside on the fields.

Enjoy. Reward is a unique recipe for a fancy lesser healing potion.

the best herbing is by the night elf starting place out side of the city. youll lvl up amazingly fast by the time that you have gathered half of the herbs they will start to reset so youll always be able to get more lol

This is technically not an herbalism quest, but an alchemy quest (though obviously the two pretty much go hand-in-hand). The only actual herbalism quest I've found is 'Root Samples,' which is initiated by a goblin in Ratchet. I belive the goblin is Mebok Mizzyrix, the very same goblin that starts the 'Raptor Horns,' 'Blueleaf Tubers,' and the 'Smart Drinks' quests...but it's been a while since I did the quest and I'm not 100% certain.
