Description

We in Darnassus, especially we craftsman, are quite busy. Young adventurers are eager to test themselves in the wilderness, and are in constant need of supplies.

If you can help me fill my orders of leather goods, then perhaps I can teach you an advanced leatherworking technique.

Here is the definitive answer to this:

* A Leatherworking skill of 70 (at least) is needed
* Lotherias in Darnassus (64.4, 22,1 on Leatherworking terrace above Tailoring) hands it out
* Required level of 8

Hopefully that clears up some confusion :-)

EDITED: Thank you for level requirement!

All told you will need 68 Light Leather and 37 Coarse Thread to make the required items for this quest.

Lotherias in Darnassus (64:21) starts this quest, not Mathrengyl Bearwalker. Lotherias is a NPC in Darnassus who is in the Leatherworking area, which makes sense.
Mathrengyl Bearwalker is a druid quest giver.

The Quick Facts of this page seem incorrect and also the Completion text part.

Make sure you make an extra pair when you hand the quest in!

My main character turned this one in without any problems, but my alternate was wearing a pair of embossed boots and a pair of embossed gloves, and after he handed it in he was running around barefoot for a while.

Just as in the Wild Leather quests, she will take the first few pairs you make.

I acquired this quest as a level 9 Night Elf druid with a skill of 74 leatherworking. Either I got the quest as a glitch or the information about the level 14 level requirement is wrong!

For some unknown reason the quest giver took the enchanted and enhanced (leather patched) items off my back leaving the freash made items in my inventory. Really sucks to lose an enchanted cloak to this kind of issue.

Also just for those who don't wish to do the math it takes 68 light leather and 37 coarse thread to do this quest.

Is there a Horde equivalent quest? Would be a nice lower level SHM or DRU chestpiece.

It's at the Leatherworking spot in the craftsmen's terrace.

When I first got this quest I had just sold a vender a couple pairs of gloves (they got me to the L70 which poped the quest). I bought 1 pair of gloves back to use for the quest and made 2 cloaks. As I thought about having to store these items till I had enough leather to make the rest, I looked at the pattern again and was not too impressed.&nbsp I Like Fine Leather Tunic ( https://classicdb.ch/item=4243 ) which is taught by trainer. If your a leatherworker who wants to have every possible pattern or you can aford to give away 11 items in exchange for 140-1350 XP then go for it.&nbsp I decided to drop this quest though.

btw, I was only L9 when I got this quest maybe later I'll pick it up again when I'm not hurting for silver and have enough resources to make all the items in one shot so that I don't have to store them.

When i did the quest my boots also disappeared -- reinforced. I laughed to see my char standing there barefoot & took a screenshot. I recommend that anyone doing this quest puts their own armour in the warehouse before turning in made items.

The Moonglow Vest is great. I make them for clannies and friends as the pearls become available. I'm a lvl 27 druid still wearing mine. Added +16 re-inforcement when I got that skill. And will add +24 armour kit as soon as I start skinning some heavy leather.

Seems I need to skin a hundred times to complete this task. not difficult but quite boring...

I don't know about other races, but on a DE this vest looks purple. If you are wearing any of the armor that is needed for the quest put it in the bank first and then come back and get it.

I accepted this quest at level 13, but it was not avaliable until I have a 70 leatherworking.
