Celebrate Hallow's End in style... by bringing grief to our enemies in Southshore!

Take one of these specially crafted stink bombs. It is filled with an odiferous funk that no human - or any weak-willed beast for that matter - can stand to smell. You'll need to throw it right in the heart of Southshore for it to do its job, so be prepared for a fight against the Alliance!

Wish the alliance quest would involve taking the "Pine Fresh Cleaner" to Undercity and planting it at the bank for all the rotting Undead to smell good! Now that would be a quest to be proud of! But of coarse the Alliance has to be the passive weaklings, again!

If you stand in the room with the 2 lvl 15 guys that someone else mentioned, as long as you do not move no guards will come. The stinkbombs will aggro the lvl 15 guys. But you should be able to kill them easily and then continue setting off your other 2 bombs.

Here is a screenshot of the room you need to be in to avoid any further confusion.

Using this method lower levels should be able to pull this off no problem as I am only 39 on Darkspear. Had a few alliance even watching me. I guess waiting to defuse.

I guess (better late than never) Ill add when I did it. I stood in the corner (shown in this picture) facing the 2 NPC and then dropped my bombs to the right of the carpet shown without a problem.

Thanks to Liarar for pointing this out to me and helping me complete the quest.

There's an unguarded area where you can throw the stink bombs without NPC reprecussions (or, only one perhaps). If you stand to the right (as if you were facing it) of the town hall (which is the building on the left opposite the inn if you enter from the docks), and go far back enough you should be able to throw the stink bombs without aggro. Everyone's a winner.

Nice stink effect too. Reminds me of Cloudkill from Baldur's Gate.

An easy way to finish up this quest would be sneaking from the South West of Southshore.

Stay close to the building opposite the inn and throw from there. You'll have to kill a lvl45 guard each time you throw or just throw em all and run off.

PS. If you do this with a party everyone gets credit for one stink bomb.

Total piece of cake.&nbsp I ran to the inn from the river and got killed by guards half way there, rezd and made it inside and got killed again.&nbsp By that time I was able to rez inside the room previously described (in the opposite corner as the door).&nbsp Killed the 2 lvl 15s and set my stink bombs.&nbsp I did this at 6:30am and there wasnt a single alliance in the town that I saw.

I dided a 3rd time because I didnt want to hearth back to orgrimmar.

28 hunter btw, incase you missed the title.

I corpse-ran until I could rez in the 2nd floor bedroom in the corner, then threw all 3 bombs.&nbsp Easy-peasy!

Thanks everyone for the advice on where to stand. :)

I did it on a PvP server, but it's the newest one currently. (Anub'arak) If you have a shield spell, like power word shield or mana shield, just go to the south side from the west, kill 3 guards you have to, put up your shield, use stinkbomb, and run. Guards just pop out of nowhere but they won't spawn that way if you come in from that side.

You'll have to kill the last "pop in" guard each time before placing each following stinkbomb, of course.

Just did this quest on my alt, level 25 BE hunter, was quite easy. Just ran in to Southshore from South and died in the middle of the town. So i ran back to my body and ressed on the 2nd level of the inn at two level 15 mobs. Killed them and used the item, Headstone out of there.

Everytimes i rez guards attack ya southshore is full of guards + you need to set the bomb OUT of combat! *applaud bliz*

If you wanna lose durability on your armor, this is the perfect quest to try.

I did this quest, took me some time at lvl 28 as you might expect.&nbsp Finally completed it solo (thanks to comments here) and went back expecting a decent reward for completeing a lvl 60 quest that is as hard as this.&nbsp I get some candy that expires in 10 days and a total of 1650xp.

This is SERIOUSLY out of line with the quest itself. I could see getting that if you were lvl 60, but to have completed it at my level should be at least noticed.

I was horribly displeased.

on a PvE server you'd have no problems (and if you are a high lvl) i went around to the West side of southshore. dismounted and walked only a few feet between the townhall and i think its the butcher (could be wrong) and just threw the stink bombs, no guards, no flagging for pvp. just an easy chunk of rep

I like these quests very much, some hillarious ideas there.

Used a few health potions and 3 invisibility potions, plus 3 corpse runs and quite a repair bill.

Easy quests for a rogue or a druid.

As a warrior I dont see how you can do this without dying, even with invisibility potion.

1. Come up behind the SS town hall from the west (this is the first building north of the docks on the west side).&nbsp There may be one guard here but you can kill the guard without too much difficulty.
2. Pass north of the town hall about halfway along the building.
3. Throw stink bomb.

You won't have too many problems with guards and hopefully any alliance that see you won't be dumb enough to kill you since they need the deployed stink bombs for their own quest.

The keg quest is ok to do, with a bit of corpse running, or in my case sacrifice void and soulstone. This quest however seems impossible to finish if you cant slay even one guard... Being level 45 I believe it's impossible to finish the quest unless you're lucky and the guards are busy killing something else. And please, all ally, you need the bombs for your quest, so dont jump us!

Thanks to the instructions from internetchick and nycfarmkid, I went in and did this one last night (38 druid).&nbsp Thank you to everyone for the help.&nbsp

I would add the note - you have to throw them into the middle of the room, you will get a no line of sight error if you are facing the wall.&nbsp I died initially in the doorway of the inn, so there were a bunch of allies with pine cleaner camping on my naked tauren corpse downstairs, and it was absolutely hilarious to see an alliance rush coming through the orange fog once they figured out where I was.&nbsp I burst into dance...

Just for the record you can not be in a Raid to complete this quest. We had two full raid groups head down to Southshore after we all got quest. A bunch of us threw stink bombs and didn't get credit.

Complete waste of time.

First you can do this dying once, no way to do this without dying once, at 45 I walked up behind the hall ( bottom South, West building ) rez inside on the table, killed the librarian, he will attack you even sitting on the table, DONT let him get outside or he brings a guard with him and your dead unless your 60, I was not, Killed the guy the first time did all 3 aiming for the door on the table, easy, next time I came back did the same thing ( but the librarian got a guard ) died, came back did it again, BUT get no credit for doing it a second time, IT IS NOT A REPEATABLE QUEST, you are able to get them if you fail and dont do it again right away,
wish this site would say repeatable and it really was,
For the barrels, easy, die, rez on the stairs to the right of barrels, get it set up quick when you rez, your dead soon after.
these quests are doable SOLO and way under 60, but they are as usual bias and cheap, compared to the cake walks the alliance always get

Here's what you have to do (even for low levels)

First, unequip everything you have on you. Then run the SS and die naer the inn. Run back and respawn in the iin's doorway. No guard should be able to see you. Throw in a bomb and watch 30 allies jumps you. Just do it again 2 more times!

I did it that way very easely with my level 31 cow!

Pipogyu
P.S. Why do allies kill us? Don't they need us to throw the bomb for their own quest?

Soloed with my 52lvl Shammie.
It can be done in the same way with any level, if Southshore is not crowded. So make it at late night! )

I made it after the Rotten Eggs quest.

After dieing in the inn i ressed outside, hugged to the wall, in a spot where it was difficult to be seen from Allys and where i didn't aggro guards. I tossed the 3 Stinkin' bombs and run away.

Unfortunately a 60lvl Ally rogue was looking for HK, then i ressed at graveyard after the first death by his hand.

Easiest way I have found is to die outside of the Courthouse (the southwestern most building directly accross from the inn. Approach the town from the west). While in ghost form enter the back room of the courthouse. At the far end of the room there is a table. Get on the table then reserect. NOTHING will aggro you here. The Magistrate is a few feet away, but he wont aggro you. This gives you the time needed to throw all three stink bombs. I did it with my LVL 31 rogue.

Hate to say this, but no-one in the Horde on our server seems to be even TRYING this quest. There's a queue of Alliance characters just WAITING to clean up the stick.... Perhaps they should have done this quest the other way around, as more Alliance would be tempted to try this in Tarren Mill.... *shrug*
