The Tome of Nobility

Speak to Duthorian Rall in Stormwind.

Description

I greet you once again, <name>. I am more proud to call you < brother/sister> than ever before--your dedication is a tribute to us all.

The time has come for me to bestow a great gift upon you. But know this, for now I give you this freely, but later, when time permits, this will be a much greater challenge to all paladins who choose to undertake my quest.

Speak to me again and I shall grant you a great boon.

Ok...at level 40...if you are a paladin...you go and talk to Duthorian Rall in Stormwind and you get the SPELL Summon Warhorse...it costs nothing...requires absolutely no questin, killing, or gathering of any items. After you are done talking with Big Duth, you have the ability to SUMMON a warhorse. There is no need to train for riding. The second part of Duth's speach refers to the obtaining of the level 60 epic paladin mount. Which requies a lot of hard stuff and things....To recap...

1.) Talk to Duthorian Rall in Stormwind
2.) Click on "Complete Quest"
3.) SUMMON your brand new warhorse
4.) RIDE AWAY!

HUZZAAA!&nbsp PALLIES RULE!

This was so easy it was sick actually to attain the horse.&nbsp I expected it would be some crazy adventure, but its simply a matter of speaking to a guy in SW I believe.

And please quit moaning about us Paladins.&nbsp We not only pound the life out of nearly anything we attack, we also put the life back into your sorryness when you are about to kick off... not to mentioned the designated healers in parties when the Priest is about a goner.&nbsp Hmmm... what about ressurection?&nbsp Sure beats running back across the map to your sorryness.

Not to mention our blessings are incredibly useful.&nbsp We make others more powerful in most all ways.&nbsp Cure diseases?&nbsp Need I say more?&nbsp Who in their right mind would choose to slander a Paladin?

Undead mebbe.&nbsp 'nuff said.

Im a lvl 60 Pally, and I dont think there IS a 'most valuable class in WOW'. Wait till you see the Molten Core and you will find out just how essential ALL classes are.

If you go there without a warrior to take hits and keep swinging you will last around 3 seconds, also without a Paladin giving a good range of healing and damage dealing, ur toast!

Blizzard didn't just pick abilities out of a hat to create the classes, they are carefully balanced to create a world where us Paladins need all classes as much as they need us, so dont take Warriors for granted. You will get nowhere without them...

Ok people lets get this straight! Everyone is always talking smack about how paladins are the cheapest class because of our free mount. Right now i'm a lvl 28 and just a few days ago a lvl 13 rogue told me i wasn't welcome in their guild because he said that all pallys are cheap. Everyone must know its not our fault we get free mounts >=) but it was how the game was made. its just the same thing with warlocks but people don't say anything about them which is completeley racist (in the world of warcraft way). so every pally that reads this should stand up and make all paladins proud by showing how every paladin is a welcome class.

Just before I was going to visit all the folks above, just went to SW to get all the lvl 40 spells (Lord Grayson).&nbsp Lo and behold that "summon warhorse" was one of the spells to be learned.

So morale of the story:
- Any paladin trainer (skills > 40) can train you.
- Costs 90 silver
- You can't stack speed items, but you can learn "Pursuit of Justice" in the Ret Talent branch. (>10 pts x/2 skills 4%/8%).

Hopefully that helps.&nbsp Welcome any corrections.

Other than get over "WoW racism", it's not a big deal.&nbsp You're all big boys/girls ... so you can handle it.&nbsp All characters are fun to play with, and since Pali's don't get to be the strongest DPS or the most powerful with spells - we get a cheap horse. Benefit of being well rounded.&nbsp LOL.

Ok im going to answer this.

Pally's get a mount which is not free but is a reduced cost.

Pally's do not have to do a chain quest for it, you just talk to him twice.

You do not need any reputation to get it

You require no riding skills.

Noobs stop discussing it because it is so easy to do once u get to 40

It is as simple as talking 2 the guy twice to recieve a mount with no strings attached except for a mana fee, which will be reduced in 1.9

I just wasted about 20 min reading all these posts and I feel, hopefully you do too, that there are too many repeated questions.&nbsp Read the posts before and that might answer your question before you ask for the 50th time if a Pally gets a free epic mount or if riding skills cost anything.&nbsp Completely a waste of time.&nbsp Sorry for such harsh words but give me a break...read before you post.

I never understood people complaining about other classes. I find each one has something really great to offer.
I have played every class at least a little ( horde and alliance )
I understand having pride in your favorite, but to bash someone else's? That's just silly in my book.
I solo a LOT with all my characters, so I can really see the difference when I team with other classes. There are some amazing mixes to play with. Instead of complaining, see how the other classes can bring out the best in each others talents.
( BTW I did a mage rogue mix today and WOW! Talk about crazy damage output, fun, fun stuff. )
Enjoy the game guys!

I guess what he's saying is that the level 40 one is "free" as in very easy quest. But the next upgrade (epic) of the mount will be very time consuming.

And I do hear that the epic pali mount is hell to complete.

This quest seems to have changed/disappeared now. I levelled my pally up to 40 last night and duly trotted off to see Duthorian. However, there was no quest available from him and I couldn't talk to him. Bugged, I thought, and wandered round the corner to see Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker for some new spells. And there in the latest list of available spells etc was Summon Warhorse, cost about 1g (maybe a little more, can't remember). So I promptly acquired the spell, went out of the cathedral and summoned warhorse. Voila! I rode off into the sunset.

Do you still need to spend the 18 gold to train to ride a horse?

<edit> nevermind. I found out you don't.
