Dead-tooth Jack

Retrieve Haggard's Badge from Dead-tooth Jack's camp, and return to Marshal Haggard.
Marshal Haggard's Badge

Description

Burlguard sent you, did he? Yes, I have spare weapons around here, but first I have a task for you...

A while ago a Defias villain Dead-tooth Jack tricked me. It was dark and he was wearing a Stormwind tabard and I thought he was Marshal Dughan. He said he needed my old Stormwind Marshal's badge and I gave it to him... and then he laughed and ran off before I could catch him!

Get back my badge! Dead-tooth Jack probably has it stowed in his camp to the south.

After much trial and much more errors, I have come upon a tactic that can help you beat this quest.
#1: Find the camp. It's hard to kill Jack if you can't find him. If you need help, read all the posts above this one.
#2: Kills those wolves and Defias around the camp. You do not want them to be accidently aggro'd in the fight against Jack. Trust me. It has happened to me. And make sure you kill that one guard to the right of Jack without aggro'ing him. That would be bad.
#3: After you kill all those pesky guards and wolves, charge at Jack's lone guard and kill him. You might be wondering, "Why the guard? Why not Jack himself?" Simple. I found out the hard way that Jack has an insanely fast respawn time. So fast that you can see him walk on his own corpse. While you're fighting the guard, you might want to throw in a thunder clap in there somewhere to slow Jack's attacks.
#4: After you killed the guard, hamstring Jack and run the heck away. Since you already killed all those defias and wolves, nothing will interfere will your running away. Also, you might want to switch into Defensive stance here just to be safe.
#5: Did you get away from Jack? You did? Great! Now rest up and go back there and kill him.
#5b: Did you get away from Jack? You didn't? Oh well. At least you'll be fighting Jack one-on-one now. So get res'd and go kill him!
#6: After you kill him, spit on him for making you go through so much pain and agony. Ok, this step may not be necessary, but I think everyone is going to do it nonetheless.
#7: Get the key off of Jack and unlock the box. Take the badge.
#8: Turn the quest in.
#9: Be happy. You just beaten this annoying as hell quest.

He says he used those weapons when he was a marshal, thats pretty impressive seeing as they're rewards for a level 10 quest. He mustn't have been a very good marshal.

If you don't pull extra adds, and you do it right, you can solo this at 10, I did, and I didn't even come close to dying... use taunt to pull adds away one at a time, then when you're killing Jack, wait until he's dead until you use rend and finish off his pal. He is located at 89,79 near the water. Use bandages if needed between kills, but if you take your time, it can be done, and relatively simply. Patience is the key.

There is a reason you can have cosmos, it comes with a nifty little thing that you can enter coordinates in, it's amazing :-O

He's at 89,79 and ffs when someone finds someone everyone is having problems with, help out.

89.79 is where you can find him. Did it @ level 11, watch out for 3 guys around him, pick them off and the rest is easy from there

He comes with 2 adds...if your lucky.
There is also a rare that spawns there. only way to do it is pul lthem back and kill one at a time, but with the respawn rate it is very difficult, and its hard to nail them b4 getting killed yourself, even while kiting.

You have to kill all f them to finish quest, since it is in a chest.

I had the luck of running to Jack just after someone else had killed him, so there were no guards to accidentally pull.&nbsp After I killed Jack (so easy when it's just him!), a guard respawn, so I killed him, and Bam! Jack was back again! So I had to kill him a second time before being able to get close to the lockbox, and run like hell to avoid being jumped by other respawning friends of his.&nbsp That is a seriously messed up respawn timer.

First cleared nearby wolves and bears and defias scumbags. I inched near enough to the farthest of his 2 guards to aggro her without aggroing Jack and his other guard, killed her. All this time, I saved up my rage, so I had a full bar. Bandaged up, then charged Jack's other guard. Sunder, rend and hit til he was dead. Turned to Jack and sundered twice, rended and HSed him til my rage was gone. I drank one minor health pot when I got to 25%, but it wasn't even a close call. I could've killed him without the pot, I believe.

This quest was sooooo easy. I walked to his camp, took out 1 guard who was far enough away not to aggro&nbsp Dead tooth Jack and his guard, then put on Defensive stance and charged Jack, hit bloodrage, hamstringed his guard, thunderclap and rend. Pretty soon Jack was dead so I went to battle stance and finished off his guard with no problem. The key drops of Jack, the strong box is in a small pile of boxes near where he stands.

Just beat this easly on my first try with my level 11 warrior. As stated above just kill the surounding wolves and humanoids first. I drew out the rare guard easly enough and was able to take him. Killed the other guard and jack without any problem, might have helped i had a 7.1dps 2hander.

east of the tower, next to a fallen tree. when you see a bunch of defias guys, you're in the right place.

Easily solo-able as a 11th warrior. Clear out the wolves and bears on the west side of the camp. Approach the camp slowly from that side to pull Dead-tooth and one of his henchmen. Easy enough to deal with them...then go in to finish of the other two (careful, one of them is 11th too), and the chest is yours...
