How to complete (Quest #1681):

1. accept quest /way 48,89, 42,56
2. go to Dun Morogh /way 77,82, 62,05
3. get Umbral Ore from (Object #85562) /way 77,94, 62,21
4. return quest in Ironforge /way 48,89, 42,56

Finishing this quest will give you - Grey Iron Weapons http://classicdb.ch/?quest=1682  which gives you a decent choice for low level warrior weapons

Directions:
* Go to Helm's Bed Lake
* Go directly south and you will reach Ironband's Compound
* Fight your way to the house furthest south.
* Fight your way downstars (Should be some lvl 9 and 10 Dark Iron Spys)
* Fight/Kill Captain Beld (lvl 11)
* Open the chest on the right
* Go back to Ironforge
* Go to the Great Forge in the center of the city
* Talk to Tormus Deepforge

Okay here are some very simple step by step instructions on how to do this quest:

*After talking to Tormus Deepforge, accept the quest and go to the gates of Ironforge

*Begin walking down the path down the mountain until you reach the fork in the road.

*Take the fork left (south) and keep going, across the bridge, until you reach another fork. You shouldnt be at Kharanos yet.

*Take that second fork to the left again (east) and keep going following the road reletivly east, not taking the road south to where gnomes buy their mounts, or take the road north to the amberstill ranch. Just keep going.

*Finally you should reach another turn to the right (south) that goes towards the Gol'Bolar quarry. Your getting closer!

*Keep following the road going past it, and then soon get off the road and go south (this should be before you reach another fork in the road)

*You should find Helm's Bed Lake. Go south of that until you reach the mountains, and if you havent already found Ironband's compound, go either east or west in either direction to find it. Its around there somewhere

*Kill things into the building, go downstairs, and kill Captain Beld, and there should be a small black chest sitting near the bed. Thats it! get it and complete your quest.

I personally did this quest with ease, but i was a 19 warrior ^_^ Dunno why i did it, just because i guess.

just go from IF to the road west of kharanos, just follow it.
if you are close to helm's bed lake go to the south you will see a house (kill all the dark iron spy's lvl 9 and 10, be careful) get into the house kill captain beld
and open ironband's lockbox.

How do you find this lake. I'm in Dun Morogh and just left Stormwind, it says to stay south, but that leads to Kharanos, I'm looking for the lake, but it's not in the guide. Has it been removed?

This helped me for the most part, though I recommened fighting the spy's one at a time, I try to take on 5 at once, by accident. Not good.

Huh now im in that house but i cant find that chest :(

I found the lockbox downstairs next to Captain Beld in the building at 77.62

thank you all for the elaborate instructions on how to play WoW. I don't know how I ever made it this far without them and I'm sure I will be a better player from now on. the W button makes me move forward, right?

COME ON! these quests are here for a reason if you are unable to complete them you're not worthy of the reward! telling others exactly how to walk and how to play you might as well be offering an escort or powerlevelling for cash! I sure don't see the difference

stop giving exact paths to follow and start handing out no more than valuable information that others can use in their own 'experience of WoW' critical coordinates and the quest-reward.
