Description

This world has been victim to massive mystic struggles, which tore magic currents from once stable channels. We struggle to determine the effects these changes have caused, and some of us fear the worst!

But I will reveal more of this later. Right now, we need you to gather information.

Here, take this flask. Go to the base of the waterfall at Mirror Lake, southwest of the Stormwind gates, and retrieve a sample of the water there. Return it to me so that I might test it for magical taints.

just go to mirror lake, step into the water and right-klick on the bottle ^^ btw, if you right click&nbsp &nbsp
on the bottle anywhere else it says "requires mirror lake"

I think half the problem is that there are two mirror lakes. Try the one to the west.

fill it at the bottom of the waterfall, there is a little patch of land at the very bottom, BEHIND THE WATERFALL! That's the important part that everyone leaves out.

I dont know, but i cant do that quest too.. I was in the mirror lake on every place..on the top,middle,down,in waterfall,in lake..but still is writting to me requi...you know..can someone do SREENSHOT where is the right place?..thx..i Want that stick :(

I have discovered that there is a remarkable lack of waterfalls in Stormwind's Mirror Lake, and the vial refuses to fill unless its underneath a waterfall.&nbsp WHERE IS THE MIRROR LAKE WATERFALL?

i did the other mage quest to get other staff first and then tryed this quest and dident work. then on my mates mage i did this quest got the staff then when i tryed other quest, that one dident work. hope this has helped.

You go to the waterfall and stand under the rocks where the water comes from.

Coming out of SW do a right hand turn off the road.&nbsp Work your way west to the lake and the waterfall is at the north end.&nbsp There are two Defias on both sides of the waterfall standing on the rocks.&nbsp They are level 10.&nbsp As a level 10 I took the two on the east side, hit them with frostbolt about 5 times and finished them with Lesser Magic Wand.&nbsp Took them one at a time of course.&nbsp They don't rush you, they stand off and fire back.&nbsp You can get LMW at level 5 from the AH and its really really worth it.&nbsp I started with enchanting at lvl 5 and made one myself.&nbsp Saves mana and repeats on its own.&nbsp

So when I couldn't fill the flask standing next to the lake I jumped in and got IN the falls at the base where the water enters the lake.&nbsp It filled immediately, then off to turn in.&nbsp

I took the staff for the buffs but the wand is better for dps.

Well, I found them.&nbsp It is NOT, repeat NOT, the lake beneath the Valley of Heroes.&nbsp Walk a few minutes away from Stormwind and when you starting hitting Defias Mages, you're in the right neighborhood.&nbsp Jump in the lake, swim northwest to the top, fill the flask, and be happy.&nbsp War out.

It's good to know I'm not alone with this.
It's been driving me mad for days and I really don't think it can be done.
It doesn't matter where you stand in the lake or at the bottom of the waterfall, ( I even tried halfway up the waterfall and almost ran into Old Sooty ), the flask simply wont fill up.
It's such a shame because I really wanted that staff.
I've abandoned it and re-tried it a number of times but no luck so far.

Come on guys, this is easy.. you walk outside stormwind, and when ur over the stone bridge that leads to stormwind, you enter elwynn forest again, so when ur on the path that leads to goldshire , immidiatly leave the path and go into the woods ... the lake is west of goldshire, south of stormwind gates.. the mirror lake river leads to forest edge (all looking on the world map now..) its easy!

I just got this quest but I have done alot of quest like it on my alt. In all the quest that I have done they give you a item to collect the sample in. In all the quest I have done the item they give you to collect the sample looks like a flask normally silver. To collect the water u need to stand in the water and right click on the flask or if it looks diffrant then what ever item she gave u when u got the quest. Just as a side note for any future quest u might get like this some require u to collect something from a slime or a poisoned enemys like the enemys in Gnomeregan for these quest u have to collect it while the enemy is alive so they are almost impossable to do on your own unless u can fight them without getting hit. I hope this helps

You just stand between the rocks and right-click on the flask, but kill the defias rogue wizards first bcause they interrupt lots.

yea the quest doesn't work either I'm sooo mad! The server that I play on doesn't let me put on the coordinate add on well at least not the one I tried, does anyone have a site where I can download the coordinate add on? And help all it says is that it's not the mirror lake water fall when it is, but many people have that problem so it's not just me.

I cant get the stupid water and ive been trying for so looooong. Ive tried everywhere, the rocks, in the water, out of the water, in the center of the lake, above the rocks, on top of the waterfall, and i kept trying until i reached some sort of inn. I asked help from lots of people, formed a party and we all tried it but my entire party couldnt get water!

You can't do both lvl10 mage quests. You have to choose either this one or the Gnome one. Your race doesn't matter. If you already took one and changed your mind, you can abandon it and take the other, but once you finish it and get your reward, you can't do the other one.
