Description

Do you smell that delicious aroma? It's my secret recipe, <name>--fresh strider stew. Delicious!

Perhaps you would be interested in learning the recipe?

Before I teach you the recipe, you will need to prove that you can handle the beasts.

Now, I don't expect you to go out and tame one and ride it back to me, but if you can kill a few and bring back some of their succulent meat, I may be persuaded to show you the ways of strider stew.

42,39 was where I found all five pieces of strider meat.&nbsp Every single Foreststrider Fledgling I killed there dropped one!&nbsp

Highest drop rate seems to be off the Forestriders (14-16). http://classicdb.ch/?npc=2322 ... They are located north of Auberdine and Bashal'Aran.

It's best to do this quest in addition to the other kill quests in the area, like for the Rabid Thistle Bears and Moonstalker Fangs. :D

The striders don't want to be stew, I guess. I got about 1 drop in 8 kills. If you go after the higher level ones it might be better...maybe.

The only place i've gotten this drop is in the above mentioned loc. Very rare drop though.

It took me forever to get the five pieces of meat. Even the level 18 mobs rarely dropped it. I doubt many people use this recipe.

I must kill so many striders to loot just 5 pieces. Very low droprate.
Good receipe, it gives +4 sta and +4 spirit bonus.
But i'm not sure if you want kill so many striders for it....?

where are they? i tried south of there and the only strider-type things that came up were the fledlings. those obviously aren't them.

as of 5/5/05, the quest NPC is still not handing over the quest reward (either one).&nbsp Blizzard has been notified.

as to location of the striders that drop the requireed meat, i got mine from the level 13+ striders further south from auberdine, around the twilight vale area.&nbsp not sure if the strider fledglings drop the meat or not.

I think the required cooking level is 10.
Soloed the quest with a level 13 hunter (along with my level 12 pet).

Horrible drop rate and these things run when close to dying and run FAST. Save something that will stun them when they get close to running.
