Necklace Recovery

Look for a valuable necklace within the Uldaman dig site and bring it back to Dran Droffers in Orgrimmar. The necklace may be damaged.
Shattered Necklace

Description

We've got work for you, that is if you've got the guts to do it!

Deep in the Badlands is the Uldaman dig site. We've heard a tale about some idiot paladin who died there recently. Why we even care is that he had a very valuable necklace on him. It's supposedly got three large gems: a ruby, a sapphire, and a topaz.

The shot: we want it, and we're payin' TOP SILVER to get it. It may be damaged, but that's neither here nor there; we'll fix whatever scratches are on it.

As soon as you land in Orgrimmar by Zeppelin, take the bridge to the left of Doras the Windrider Master.&nbsp Bare to the right, and then head down the tunnel you'll see to your right.&nbsp That will be Cleft of Shadows.&nbsp Run straight and take the exit toward NorthEast.&nbsp After entering The Drag, turn one quarter to the left.&nbsp Dran Droffers is straight ahead in that building...I think his brother is keeping him company.&nbsp (sorry, the maps are broken in that section and /tloc shows 0.0)

I will admit - I didn't read all of the notes on this one....or maybe I would have realized that when I find the shattered necklace I have to take it to Dran Droffers in Org. Instead, I attempted to accept the quest and was told "this is not available to your race." so I threw it away.

Dran Droffers = Fred Sanford rearranged
Malton = Lamont (Fred's son)
Anagrams!

Not sure who Gilveradin Sunchaser is supposed to be, but it's certainly not Bubba.&nbsp Someone who drank lots of ripple I guess.

The instance is in the Badlands.

This was pretty clearly a tip of the hat to sanford and son, but I only just noticed today that Dran Droffers and Malton Droffers are anagrams of Fred Sanford and Lamont.&nbsp I didn't watch the show regularly but I get the feeling that the guy in the hinterlands is a reference to someone else, too.

This can randomly drop off any of the elite stonevault or shadowforge within ulda. Once its on a corpse the entire party can loot it. It can be gotten without the Necklace recovery quest because on the alli side it starts a quest. For horde make sure u hold onto it and talk to Dran Droffers in Org if you have not started. This is a chained quest series so be prepared for multiple ulda runs.

There is a quest line for the Alliance that BEGINS with right clicking the necklace.&nbsp This is why no Horde can right click it to begin a quest.&nbsp The quest line for the Horde is the one that BEGINS in Orgrimmar.

So don't worry, you will never be able to do that quest that it says it will give you ("this item begins a quest" should be removed from the item on the horde side, imo).

There ya have it.

You can get this necklace pretty quickly now that the mobs outside of Uldaman are no longer elite. It *is* somewhat annoying that the necklace will drop continually, but if you're horde, make sure you don't throw it away!

It's a random drop, search for "Shattered Necklace" and you'll see which mobs drop it.

Dictionary Definition of Anagram: A word or phrase formed by reordering the letters of another word or phrase, such as satin to stain.

I don't see how all the letters reform into the other names...what am I missing?

And when i turned in the necklace i only got the ex, wtf!

€: okay so i'm not the only one...

I believe that the "This item begins a quest" message is for alliance only. However, it's the same necklace that is used that you need to return to Dran Droffers. If you are Horde, just turn it in to Dran Droffers in Orgrimmar without clicking on it. If you are Alliance....you can click on it.

Can drop outside of the instance as well, off the aforementioned mobs.
