Description

Sweeping the bat pens with this broom is not befitting a Garrett! I've earned a little coin from this accursed job, and I'm willing to spend it on you to better my station.

The Garrett family weapon of choice is locked away in our chest in the South Common Hall of Uldaman from when we Garretts toiled there as diggers. Without it, I will be stuck here forever - literally - sweeping up after these infernal bats.

Reclaim my family's treasure and bring it to me! Help me restore my birthright!

This post was correct, but needs a bit of clarification:

Firstly, as others have pointed out, it is NOT inside the instance. It is in the outside area.

Secondly, you have to move all the way down into the main cavern where the Instance portal is located. Off of this cavern, to the west, is a small tunnel leading to a room. It is different from the other tunnels in that it is populated by Cavemen (I forget their actual name), and nod Dwarves. If you are in a room with Dwarves, you are in the WRONG room!

You must fight to the back of this room, which has 4 pillars in it, and 4 Cavemen. In the back right hand corner, there is a small chest. It is HIDDEN by the pillar in front of it. You have to move past the pillar to see it.

It is a VERY small chest it's there, trust me.

I solo'ed to it by myself quite easily as a 45 Shaman. The end room could be tricky, as you will get 2 mobs per pull. Just be careful and take your time, and you'll get it.

With a party, it would be no problem.

As everyone else said, it's not in the instance. If you are facing the front entrance, it is to your left.

Coordinates for the chest (outside of the instance) in the south common hall: 79:54.

Also, the hall names are reversed.&nbsp The "North Common Hall" is to the south, and vice-versa get a grip.

Edit: Also, there is an alliance quest which is in a differnt room (North Common Hall I believe) and has a chest which you cannot click on without the alliance quest.&nbsp That could be why.&nbsp The quest has the same name and you go to the same instance-entrance, but it's not the same chest.

When standing in Dig One of Uldaman looking at the instance, the cave is West of the instance portal, the box is in the last room of the cavern in the SE corner behind a column.

Stonevault Cave Hunter are the guardians of this area.

OK I too was stuck in the hall with unclickable chest. I went out and started over from the instance entrance. My back to the instance I move along the right wall behind the tents. Its there where I discovered the small tunnel. The rest was easy just head to the back and you'll find the chest. The biggest difficulty was locating the tunnel. Remember:

It is located along the right wall of dig one. Have your back to the instance entrance and its right past the tents. Rogues just move behind the tents and you'll see it no problem.

Solo'd this quest at level 39, not bragging- it isn't that hard, just wanted to let people know it can be done.&nbsp Stealth in, hug the back wall and loot from max. distance.&nbsp Stealth out, have a wolf steak or two on the way to UC.

Inside main entrance AREA, get In th bottom floor before u enter the instance, and its a little tunnel on the far wall lead it to the back, and its in the back corner of the room, very easy

well, it was a piece of pizza for a 44 undead rogue.. just locate the room (the comment about if u are in room with dwarfs was correct), find the box which is north east of the room, hug wall, distract nearby mobs, loot, vanish, bye :)

Yet another time when I love being a Rogue.&nbsp As a lvl 40 undead rogue, I walked into the cavern and straight to the chest, opened it, and hearthed back to Undercity.&nbsp All without aggro-ing a single guy.&nbsp I didn't have to fight at all.&nbsp Simple.

What I did was logout in front of the chest when I couldn't click it. When I relogged it was clickable and I got the quest.

Just did this as 44 priest. I mind soothed as far as i could, having to fight here and there.&nbsp Once in the small tunnel you have to fight your way to the chest, sometimes taking 2 lvl 37 elites at once.&nbsp I managed to pull it off with an elixir of greater int and a spi scroll.&nbsp Again, hard but possible to solo.&nbsp Mind soothe ftw!

Follow the instruction from Grim. He was absolutely right. Again it's not in the instance, it's in the South Common Hall room. On the left hand side just before you enter the instance. The coordinate after you are in the Uldaman cafe is 53.61, a very small chest.

Tried this a couple times and couldn't handle elite mobs.

Tried finding the chest dead, and you can't see the chest when you're dead.

So -- Stormed in there alive, saw the chest, right where the post says, behind the rear-right pillar. Let myself die against back wall.

Came back in as ghost, positioned myself in about the middle of the room - close enough to have be able to open the chest, but made sure closest dufface was behind pillar, out of line of sight. Opened chest, got treasure, and even had enough time to heart on out of there back to UC to turn the quest in.

If you've got sap and are about lvl 36 you can do this solo easy. Just need to sneak to the back room, sap the lvl 38 goblin guy, open the chest and get the stuff then vanish. Done. I say level 36 b/c you'll probably aggro the cavemen otherwise as it's a pretty tight fit in the room.
On another note, I chose to kill the named 38elite goblin 'Digmaster Shovelphlange' @ lvl 46 and nearly died, he's a tough little bugger with sunder armour- so be wary.

Chest is outside Ulda, i mean before portal. Stay near portal, so you portal will behid your back. Torn to tonnel right. There will be some troggs 36 elite. Kill them and get it from room in Ulda style.

Super easy to solo this quest now thanks to the latest patch! The mobs are no longer elite which makes this quite easy. If you are mid-30's be prepared for a bit of a fight if you can't handle multiple mobs, anything over that shouldn't have much of a problem :).

And thanks to the XP quest reward change I got 5050xp, 60 silver and 250 UC rep at level 44.
