Dispatch 12 Befouled Water Elementals at Mystral Lake, due east of the Talondeep Path and southwest of Splintertree Post.

Scout the gazebo on Mystral Lake that overlooks the nearby Alliance outpost.

Description

If you want to be useful, then why don't you do something about the situation near Talondeep Path?

The transports between Ashenvale and Stonetalon are at a standstill because of the lake coming alive and attacking anything that gets close... which means anyone on the path. What'd be even more useful than just putting the hammer down on the water elementals there is someone scouting the gazebo on Mystral Lake - the one that has a solid view of the Alliance outpost there.

This quest is a two part quest. First is the gazebo and the second is killing. The loc of Mystal Lake is 47,70. That loc is the island in which the gazebo sits on. On that island are 6 water elementals. Merciless bastards. To explore the gazebo you need to run into it and stand in the glowing light. After that, even prior, you need to kill the 12 mobs listed in the quest.

My results:
You gain 2000 experience.
Your reputation with Orgrimmar has increased.
Received 18 Silver.

He drops an item that begins a turn-in quest:

When you do this quest make sure you kill a lvl 27 elemental called Tideress at the island in the lake. He drops quest item.

Along with Ursangous (sorta) and Tideress, there is a rarespawn here named Eck'alom (http://classicdb.ch/?npc=10642) who will pat the islands sometimes. He can freeze you for 12 seconds, use all sorts of frost attacks, and since all the damage he deals ignores armor, he hits you for about 100 per pop! Ouch!

Uhm.. you don't exactly have to fight the enemies underwater, just stay up at the surface and pull them to you. As long as you hit with melee or don't get spell resists it's np.

this is not hard at all.

just kill the water elements that run around.

after that walk/swim to the little island in the lake.

there you will see a structure with a lightbeam shining down.

go stand INTO the beam and watch the house.

and your quest should be done.

I am a lvl 25 hunter and i just stood on to of the big tree branch on the little island where their all at. I just keep making my pet go for them then shot an arrow by the time they come for u if they do it takes a while to get to u on top of the log that u have a chance to kill them. Thats how i did it but i did die a lot at first till i figured it out hope it works for u other hunters try it it works good

go under the structure which appears as a blue colour on the radar, it emits light in the isle opposite of alliance outpost. kill tidress to obtain a quest item.. pretty simple for a hunter.

I did this quest as a lvl 24 tauren warrior not to hard at all just have to watch you dont pull to many that you cannot handle also, on the island I killed Tideress the 27 and he dropped

This quest is a walk in the park just make sure you dont get tidress when ur fighting the other elementals and you will be fine when I took them out I found her and took her on her own (she was easy) she dropped a Befouled Water Globe witch then gave me another quest!

It's best to swim to the smaller island.
Theres a fallen tree that you can cross over with.
You can also stand on top and pick off the Elementals.
Dont bother wasting bag room with the Elemental bracers, unless you get a pair that are not damaged in some way.
And like Jenyo said, keep an eye on the lvl 27, i almost died because i was too busy getting the chest contents to notice it comming.
