This quest is very hard.&nbsp One of the problems is that Loch Modan is filled with low-level people, so it's hard to find decent teamates here.

What I did is recruting people in Wetlands and Ironforge.&nbsp What makes this quest especially hard is that Chok Sul has 2 bodyguards with him.

I had trouble doing this quest even at level 25.&nbsp Finally, I had a party of 5 people ranging 19-26 in levels.&nbsp Inside the cavern, we met 2 other players so we were actually 7.&nbsp It was much easier this time.&nbsp We did it without much trouble.

I *managed* to stupidly pull all 3 as a 22 pally and somehow took them down without dying. Used my LoH, but no potions.

I soloed this quest today as a level 25 rogue.

The mobs on the way in are no problem--it's easy to fight them one at a time, and all is not lost if you get an add.&nbsp The hard part (as others have mentioned) is Chok'sul himself, since he has two friends standing right next to him.

I threw a dagger at the one on the right and managed to aggro him and the other guard without getting Chok'sul's attention.&nbsp I killed one and then vanished.&nbsp Then I did the same thing with the other guard, this time aggroing Chok'sul.&nbsp (Okay, I died here, since Vanish was still cooling down, but you can survive if you're cooler than I am.&nbsp I'd suggest sapping Chok'sul and being ready with Evasion, potions, and maybe Vanish if you're willing to wait for the cooldown.)&nbsp Once Chok'sul is alone, he's a piece of cake.

It should be noted that he is still Elite as of 2.3 but I kite pulled his adds out individually and was then able to solo him on my second try on my 20 warrior.

I just did this with my 19 SP. You can't pull them all separate the first time, but the second time you can pull the guard before Chok Sul. I can't do it. Tried it, and he kills me too easily.

Soloed as 22 rogue, quest was yellow.
You can safely pull mobs until he has two adds left.
Sap add, kill the other add, vanish, sap add, kill Chok'sul, kill add.
I used 1 potion.

Just finished it solo...couldn't quite do it as a level-25 hunter..got real frustrated.&nbsp After level-26 (and with my new skills, armor, etc)..got the two guards to come out withoul Chok'sul and wiped them out without running.&nbsp Chok'sul was really easy by himself.&nbsp I was not impressed.&nbsp Didn't drop anything good.

BTW, he's in the middle cave of three shown on the map.

I found him in the only big cave there is there.&nbsp The most northeast one.&nbsp We had to clear the cave about 4 times before he finally spawned.&nbsp I don't think he spawns at exactly the same place every time, so just keep that cave cleared and he'll show up.

I soloed the whole quest as 23 paladin. You must wait for the right moment to pull the guards without getting Chock'sul with them. If you succeed killing two 20 elites at the same time(I used a mana potion and a shield) you'll do the rest easily...
Good Luck

Did it with a party of 4 16-23 lvl chars. Took us two trys because one guy got overeager and pulled too many the first time in. If you're careful you won't have to fight more than 2 at once. I don't think I could have done it solo with a lvl 23 hunter... maybe with good buffs and full healing potion. But it would be tough.

Some of the drops on the way in were good for teen lvls but you've probably got better stuff if you're >20. The ring was a good reward.

20 Mage
19 Warlock
18 Priest (me)

This was pretty difficult. Getting to him was no problem. His room has 4 mobs total, including him. The one on the right can be pulled alone. He has 2 bodyguards that goes with him no matter what kind of pull trick you try.

Mage sheeped 1 add. Warlock chain feared the other add. We slaughtered Chok. I just shielded and healed everyone when needed. He was downed in no time. Then we just took care of the adds one by one, starting with the feared one. I died tho when it was the sheeped add's turn to die. As I healed a lot... it was focus on me for a while while having no mana.. I couldn't shield, fear, or heal. The lock and mage killed em tho.

Do not forget to loot his head even in combat if you think you'll never make it alive lol

This is a very hard quest.

The two guards that he has around him, plus Chok'sul will take you out. I tried this with my 28 hunter when it was nearly a gray quest and died twice before my level 30 druid friend had to come help me take him out.

You can't draw the guards as a hunter, and at my level I maybe could have taken two of them with a good tanking pet ... but three? No way.

Good luck.

done it easily,
polymorph is a good spell for his guards
forst trap, summon some rain, do some AOE spells, kill the sheepy of a sheeped guard, get the reward = pwnage =)
done it with (myself) 24 frost mage, sum healing priest lvl 17, and a lvl 19 warlock
good communication is verry important, the teamleader should always put a star or sum1 above the main target

More specifically, he is in the center cave toward the back. I soloed with my 35 Hunter, but it was close. The guards outside aren't difficult, but taking on the three (Chok and his two guards was). When you come in - don't waste time going through the large area to your left, too many ogres too close together. Veer left, then take the quick right if you're trying to get through it faster. There's a chest in there with some vendor trash and got two green items from Chok'sul's guards. Also, it's easier to approach the three caves from the south than from the bridge to the north. Swim across the lake and attack from the southern edge. Way fewer mob to tackle.

Tried to do this with a level 25 Rogue, level 19 hunter and myself, a level 23 Pally. We wiped twice before I had to log, mainly because the hinter decided he was a melee fighter.

To get to Chok'Sul you need to head to the most north-eastern tip of Loch Modan where there is an ogre encampment. They're all patrollin' level 19-21's ogres.

There are 3 tunnels within this encampment (2 really shallow ones, and a deeper one), and in the most guarded, deepest, and north-eastern tunnel resides Chok'Sul. He's in the deepest part of this tunnel (which really isn't that deep lol).

He's usually guarded by 2-3 ogres within the cavern. When I first went there he wasn't there, so I just killed all the ogres and waited for him to respawn (which is around 7.5 mins).

Killed him 3 times, no greens or blues or anything. =/

i had totally forgotten about this quest, so i did it at 28 (paladin).

intrestingly, i pulled both his guards, but not chok'sul himself. (i was on the raised rock part where a mage spawns). killed the guards (abeit not easily), healed up, then pwnd chok'sul in ten seconds. SOOO much easier than his guards.

Chok'sul is in the back of the cave at the top of the Mo'grosh camp in the NE. I did this quest as a 19 Mage along with a 22 paladin and we didn't die. went slow and drank a lot, but got to the back of the cave without problems. When you go in the cave keep to the left that is where we found him. There is also a lot of green pick ups in this cave. some good XP to for me.

Chok'sul is with two companions and we were able to pull one of them which brought Chok'sul as well. I sheeped Chok'sul until we killed his bum buddy, then we took out Chok'sul just barely as we were both out of mana (should have taken some bigger mana pots)

I had no problem getting to the cave entrance with my lv 25 hunter what I did was I tanked each ogre along the way carefully with my bear, then I came across a group of people at the entrance, on the same quest. We mopped up the area around the entrance, and then we formed a new group. Notice that I said "group" this quest definitely requires a group if you are less than lv 35-40. Now, we ransacked the caverns as a party of 3 hunters, one tank (mine) and two DPS pets. No one else seemed to want to communicate, which is the cornerstone of a successful quest with a party.

Anyway, on to the quest. First, enable your Track Humanoids ability, if you have it, switch to Aspect of the Hawk for ranged DPS, and notice that there is a small amount of ogres in the middle atrium, the narrow path into the back room. These usually don't aggro other ogres close by, so just take them out one by one. Now, it pays to be smart regarding battles, because you want your hunters back away from the melee, right? So, send your pets in and MAKE SURE THEY ARE FULLY DISTRACTING THE ENEMY first, then start pelting the ugly SOB with your shots. Personally, my favorite shot order is Concussive Shot/Sting/Arcane Shot. You'll also want to make sure your party knows what they are going to be attacking. Thus, it helps to place a Hunter's Mark on the intended target ahead of time, then follow procedure.

Soon enough, you'll come to a room with a small ledge to your right, with a treasure chest on the ledge. Don't open the box yet, you'll aggro Chokky and his thugs. Instead, have everyone send their pets ONE AT A TIME to each mob, one player per mob (which means you'll need at least 3 party members, including yourself). Mark Sir Chokks-a-lot and send your pet after him (or whichever mob you chose) and get to it. If everyone's above LV 20, these guys will fall like a stack of dominoes in an earthquake. 8D

Take the ugly, stinking Chokk'sul nugget from its body, and you're done! Loot the treasure box, if your party wants to. Now, you can either hearth out of there, or help your party out of the cave (if they don't hearth). I chose the latter, because they apparently didn't want to hearth back to their home inn.

There ya go! An in-depth, definitive guide to Chok'sul. God, I was so geeked when I finally ganked that half-ton pile of crap. YESS! 8)
