Description

A Wild Leather helmet offers the wearer superior protection to the vital areas of the head without a sacrifice in comfort. As with all Wild Leather armor, the integrated wildvine yields a powerful but random enhancement to the frame of the helm. Leather wearers will definitely want this piece!

For this pattern, I will need two Nightscape tunics, two Nightscape headbands, and a wildvine. Complete this order and the pattern will be yours!

there are lvl 42-43 steeljaw snappers in tanaris which has the same drop rate (50%) for the turtle scales, if you're lower level. Slighty worse for the thick leather though

A word of caution: When I did this the game counted the NS Headband and Tunic I was wearing as part of the turn-in, i.e. not just what was in my bag. When I completed, I was stripped of those two items.

What (if any) are the requirements for this quest? Is there a LW skill req? (am at 175 atm) or do you need the patterns for the nightscape stuff before it becomes available?

Interesting bug I accidentally discovered on this one - having completed the quest at 221 LW skill, so not able to learn the recipe he gave me, I then clicked on him again to pick up another quest and saw a link that said something like "Hey Pratt, can you teach me the Wild Leather Helmet again?"

Just out of curiosity I clicked on it, and it's now in my list of recipes I can make, despite me having the recipe in my bag saying I'm too low to learn it! Haven't got the mats to try making it sadly, but when I get them I'll see if I actually can use it or not!

i think the best spot to farm them all (Thick leathers & Turtle Scales) is ''The Overlook Cliffs'', down at the beach at Hinterlands. ( 81,54 to 78,78 coords ). Eastern part of the map for u without coords. grind at Saltwater Snapjaw ( lvl 48-50 turtles ) and skin them helps u alot, but care cos Hordes roaming this beach - their camp is near there -. Plus u should keep an eye for Grammerita, the only aggresive turtle
in the beach. GL u'll need it :)
