Description

The vile pirate Andre Firebeard is wanted for crimes against Steamwheedle and Gadgetzan.

By decree of governing counsel, any who read this are hereby authorized to use lethal force during the apprehension of Andre and his abettors.

By further decree, should Andre be deceased, or otherwise indisposed, during the time of his hearing, his head may act as proxy, and deliverance of such head to Security Chief Bilgewhizzle constitutes a binding, and tenderable, contract.

From Gadgetzan head directly East until you hit the sea, now go south until you see a cave.

This cave will allow you to get to the other side of the mountain. Keep running south pass the camps until you get to a little village which as a large wooden wall around it.

In the middle you see some logs and a couple of dudes.

Look for your man in the middle. Also in the house on the right just as you go in there is another quest you can complete at the same time for Stoney missing rum (can't recall the name of the quest) but you may need some help.

Tried this as a solo 45 Druid. Stealthed up to Andre then roots, FF, MF and went into bear form to finish him off, assuming everyone would jump on me and I'd pay a visit to the tombstone tavern with Andre's head.

437 pirates, freebooters, dock workers, hangers-on, and I think I even saw Donald Trump, jumped on me. I've never been mobbed by so many bad guys in any instance. It was impressive but they had so much firepower I couldn't get Andy's head before I redlined.

I know there are a lot of red-letter guys in the pirate camp but don't some of them have some work to do? Anyway, be careful and you might want to bring some friends.

Andre Firebeard is in the center of the pirate town (https://classicdb.ch/?npc=7883), standing with 2 other pirates around the campfire in the center. Easily doable along with the other quests for this area.

The NPC that you turn in this quest to, is in steamwheedle port, NE of Gadgetzan, just follow the road. He is in a small house on the right side of the docks (you should be able to see him on the minimap anyway)

If your making the treck down to kill andre, make sure you've collected the other quests for that area. There are a lot of guys to blow through down there, you might as well kill 2-3 birds with one stone.

I went in as a 44 mage and soloed it.&nbsp The xp is sick! 500-600 per kill.&nbsp Just pull em one by one on the way in.&nbsp Fire up the mana shield and blast firebeards a$$.&nbsp I bum rushed him and his cronies, frose them all and just flipped arcane explosion over and over again till he was dead.&nbsp Grabbed his head and blinked out to sea.&nbsp They stop following you pretty quickly lucky for me.&nbsp Bring a healing potion and the coords are correct at 73,47.&nbsp Head all the way East then South through the cave.&nbsp You'll find it.

This is just a tip how you can do to solo him.
Run near him so he got Agro on you.. then u run back to the gate and save some rage. After that u use the " Fear Shout " so he's adds run away then u pull him slowly back and kill him.. Then u swim out of the sea as fast as u can.

44 Druid and i just soloed it.. kinda.
Moonfired Andre to aggro and two guards aggroed too. rooted one and killed andre. healed self and used travel form to run away. guards stopped chasing. i went back and booya! head for me!

As a 44 Rogue, after a few deaths, I thought this would be IMPOSSIBLE.
My advice for rogues my level or a little lower? here is what I did...

First pick an angle to attack from. I did it from the right. Take out most of the pats, then approach the camp. Distract there. Quickly sap one dwarf, then hit blind on the other. Finally, go for evas. and focus totally on Andre. Have a really good health potion ready and/or be ready to vanish/sprint after you loot him.

I Solo'd him as a level 46 arms warriors, even killed the 2 adds. (Im arms so I had sweeping strikes.) All I did was pop retaliation put on SS and killed all 3 of them at the same time. Easy XP

I've just soloed this as a 43 hunter. I placed a freezing trap, then set my pet on Andre. When he and the camp attacked my pet, I swapped targets to one of his buddies, who ran to me and activated the trap. I then used my pet's bestial wrath and my rapid fire to kill Andre. When he was dead, I ran in and looted his head. As I was full of loot (having done the other quests there) I let myself get killed, so I'd get a quick trip back to Gadgetzan.

level 45 warrior

Had to wait a bit for him to respawn in the middle of the camp, so I killed some of the surrounding pirates to avoid surprises.

When he respawned I charged him straight on completely ignoring his supporters. I used one superior healing potion during the fight.Grabbed the head when he died and used my Nifty Stopwatch to sprint out of there.

All in all 5 minutes of work getting me something like 3700xp

Patience required. would have been much easier with help

This quest can be combined with three others at the same time for some serious exp

Firebrand is right in the middle of the compound at 72,63

Original plan was to charge firebrand and take him out and collect his head before I got dead - - but a tauren warrior took out Firebrand and all the pirates in the middle of the compound.

I waited for Firebrand to respawn, killed him, grabbed his head and headed out of there with no muss - no fuss.

The four quests together got me about 10000 exp

Outline: Finished this as a L43 Warlock today. He was in the center of the camp surrounded by four others.

Strategy: Made my imp attack him, and got four of his guards on me. I immediately used Howl of Terror and got them off me for a little while. I blasted Andre with two or three more Shadow Bolts (Rank 6, takes 2.5 seconds for me), then finished him off with Shadowburn (since that is instant, and time was of the essence. Looted him, and ran like mad towards the water. Ran along the coastline until they were off me. (Hint: Don't jump in the water - it'll slow you down and you'll die if you're being tailed.)

Reward: 1g 30s. 3900 experience. 110 Rep with Gadget. It was actually surprisingly easy. (I'd soulstoned myself, but didn't need it here)

What help is it saying I was such and such level when I completed it? What good does it do another person who's trying to find an assist with this? Nobody cares what level you were and if you solo'd it or had your uncle frank and the Chicago mafia assisting you. Pat yourself on the back and leave the posts to others who will be helpful please.

As a lvl 44 Hunter, I shot him, 2 other dwarves behind him followed. My pet and I focused on him and when he died, I feigned death, sacrificed my pet so the dwarves would go back to the camp in the middle. I took the loot and ran.

He is not at 72,63... that puts you in the water, just look for the fire in the middle of camp, looks like a triangle around the fire, he's right there with 2 or 3 others. It was an easy quest when i finally figured out the other cords on here were way off, and looked in the Atlas. I got 3900 exp 1g 30s and 250 rep with Gadgetzan.

Solo'd as a 43 Hunter, normal difficulty. I sent my pet to tank unload on Andre and he went down shortly after my cat, collected head, Feigned to drop aggro from the adds, and casually walked out, head in hand.

49 Troll Hunter (MM/Surv) with a 44 pet.

luckily, there were three allies in the stockades. two 48 mages and a 50 hunter. I ignored the mages and they ignored me. I helped kill a few things with the hunter, then slaughtered him. Concussive shot to Andre, brought him back toward the shore, decapitated him, then left after ganking a different mage who had wandered into the area.

there are 3 other adds by the fire, but if you range him out and pull him (andre) then he'll only take 2 along, did this as a 46 mage, no problems at all.

andre is at 74,46. the wanted poster is found in gadgetzan near the cage thing.

Solo'd as Lvl49 Mage (Ice spec).

Came into bay, and ran along coast to get to edge of pirate stockade. Took out about 3 guards on the way into the stoackade to get a clear shot at Andre, who stands in the middle of the stockade with his bodyguards.

Targeted him to save time then a short blizzard to chill and slow his entire group, then a frostbolt to damage him. Took about 40% damage from flurry of blows as his guards arrived, then Ice Nova to trap him and his adds. Backed off and another 2 ice bolt and a cone of cold killed him off.

180 degree turn, blink and then ran out of stocakde and out to sea until the pursuit stopped. Then ran back to get his body.

47 Shaman solo. Snuck in to middle of big camp by the dock, killed one pirate. Threw down Stoneskin and healing stream totems, hit Andre with 2 lightning bolts on his way to me, then layed Magma Totem, which hit him and his 3 friends that came. kept swinging on andre and hitting with Frost shock until he died. quick looted him, layed earthbind totem and ran out the side towards the boat. got away with 40% health (my max health is 2665).
