If you get a Pirate's Footlocker, DONT autoloot it. The Ship Schedule contained inside is BoP, but the box is not. If you get extras (aoe leveling), you can mail the boxes to an alt for later.

I got this quest from a pirate foot locker in Tanaris. The footlockers are random drops from pirates, which you have to kill a ton of anyway. You turn the map into a Security Chief Bilgewhizzle in Steamwheedle Port, and you are done! My level 43 character recieved 4850XP, 1G 30S, and 150 reputation with Gadgetzan. Totally worth it for doing essentially nothing!

I got this quest not too long ago from a Pirate's Footlocker that dropped off of a Southsea Swashbuckler in Tanaris. Of note is the fact that I was grinding on these guys from something like level 45 or 46 to level 50 which means I killed A LOT of pirates. Anyway, in the course of all of that I became determined to get all of the map fragments together for Cuergo's Gold (damn middle map fragment!) which is why I ended up staying in that area for so long. This item didn't drop until I had already finished Cuergo's and was just polishing off 49. I was quite surprised I hadn't gotten it sooner and it was a nice little bonus for all of my work in that area.

Unfortunately, although you can recieve this quest item more than once, the quest itself can only be accepted and completed one time.

I've picked up about 5 of them, given them all to friends [in Pirate's Footlocker still, as once you take them out, they're bound], and had an extra so I decided to check if this quest could be repeated for some serious exploit $$. Apparently not. :P

... the islands south of tanaris ...

Not much there, but interesting.

For a sense of direction or nearest coordinates, start at 64.100 and go due south to an outline of a mountain. For players without abilities, may die twice when swimming. Still fatigue when in ghost form, but at least running as ghost is fast, and accept rez just after passing corpse a little. Remember to run from 64.100 too as ghost too. You can kind of see outline where fatigue could start in water. And never stop running.

Take health potions too to slow the death. Strip naked to minimize 10% durability loss and keep only clothes with +spirit to help in regeneration.

Yeah this item is still in game, where you get it is at the Lost Rigger Cave, me and my homie Galais, found him one, its a loot drop, from the guys there.

We found it on the guys on the two bots docked together there.

Yup this quest does exist.

Im a lvl 50 warrior hadnt ever seen it drop on any of my other characters there and then the last kill before i left the place it dropped, lol, i got 4k xp and around 2g ^_^

I got this last night its in a foot locker that you would normally roll for if you were in a group.

I have not foud it in a "Pirates Footlocker",&nbsp basically a green box that drops as loot off the Pirates. This box usually has a "map fragment" upper lower or middle some coin and a head band and aprrot rib cage.

I found this off a drop, it was from a mob on the islands that are uncharted and off the map.....the islands seemd to just be a test zone to me, blank land and a few mobs.....but yeah i got it as a drop, not a footlocker

I managed to get to the islands south of tanaris, and the pirates there seem to drop them more often, for me at least.I got there with the ghost costume (to walk on water), swiftness potion and my sprint in cat form. the rest of the time i was in travel form. Got there befor the fatigue bar ran out :)

i was killing pirates for southsea shakedown and got a lockbox drop and i got like another 2 of these damn things and i couldnt use them because you can only do it once so i had to destroy the other 2

Completing another quest down there, got 3 of them in boxes that dropped off of the pirates.&nbsp Could only use one, tried to give a box, with the scroll inside, to a friend, he got everything EXCEPT the scroll.&nbsp Ended up with 3 in my pack, could only use one.&nbsp Easy xp though, 4650 at 47.

This wasn't a very hard one for me. All the map pieces dropped very early on while working on a few other quests there. My friend managed to get all but one piece but we're going back later. Got 4850 XP as a level 42 hunter.

After killing 1,000+ pirates over 2 days, I paged a GM to be sure this quest hadn't been removed. She said:

1) It still exists
2) It may not be a mob drop.

So anyone have any idea where to actually get this thing?

Here's what the GM said: "In looking up said quest It has come to my attention that perhaps it is not dropped by a mob and may be it can be found.
We are not allowed to give out exact hits maybe try sending more tells in general to see if someone knows of the quest and how to find/aquire it."

After noting the island on my Yatlas mod, just below Tanaris. I went to ecplore. A fellow lvl 49 warrior accompanied me. We finally got the the island using swimming potions and health stone after we got there he qiped out a few pirates and on the 5th pirate it droped for him. We tryed to get it for me but after a few hours gave up.
