Talk to Daryn Lightwind in Rut'theran Village.

Description

While the ruins of Feralas can be quite dangerous, they have much to tell of what has happened here.

Searching through the rubble to the south a few days ago, I discovered what appears to be a normal stave. However, I just can't shake the feeling that there is something more to it. Angelas and I have been poring over our books here, but we can't find a thing about it.

I have a colleague in Darnassus that may be able to tell us what this is, <name>. Why don't you go talk to her and see if she can help us?

There's a green book on the floor that is only active upon the completion of the quest, it's called Feralas: A History.

That will continue the quest.

Turn so you're facing away from the NPC. Walk straight where there are three bookcases against the wall. The Feralas: History book is on the left side, on the ground.

i didnt know what to do on this quest, she gestured at a "pile of books" so you think there would be more than one you would have to find. I was wrong... if you turn around, behind her, you go over the walkway and down and to the left is a green book.&nbsp That is what you are looking for. I was so confused when all she did was&nbsp gesture at some books.... oh well... search the top floor and you shall find it!

ok so as soon as u turn in the quest turn around and u'll see a little bridge that takes u to the other side where theres 3 bookcases 1 big one in the middle and 2 on the sides if u go across and at the end look to the left on the ground u will see the green book

just go to teldrassil and go to the first bulding after u go out of the bout the building that face u and go to the 2nd floor :D thats all

after you turn in quest In Search of Knowledge,
just go across the catwalk (stay on 2nd floor of house) and look on floor to left.
You will see a green book - right click on book and then Daryn will talk to you.

I found the book across the room and continued the quest.

Just a little comment, if you are lucky enough to still be in Tanaris you may want to set your hearthstone to Gad or Feathermoon because the quest immediatly returns you there. I am a druid so I can teleport to moonglade and hs back to Tanaris so this chain wasn't so bad.

He's in the house that faces the pier - on the second floor.

And yes when you find the green book (exactly where previous posters have said) - it starts Feralas: A history quest.

Is there a prerequiste to start this quest?&nbsp Please give me a hand, its the first time I was not able to talk to an NPC about a quest and not sure why.

I am a 46th mage and have completed the high wilderness quests.&nbsp I have not yet complete the series "An orphan looking for a home".&nbsp Is this a prerequiste for Search of Knowledge?

when Daryn Lightfeather or whatever her name is, asks you to look around..
just know you are looking for a book.

the book is on the other side of the room in a corner and it is a green book on the floor called Feralas : A History blah blah blah.

once you talk to Daryn, turn around.. go to the back most book shelf (over the "bridge") and on the floor to your left is a green book. Open it and the quest chain continues.

The next leg of this quest you have to be 43 to get so don't bother to head to Teldrassil until you're 43 or over.

She sends you to talk to the Gnome in Gatz who gives you a camera. You take that camera to the far eastern shore of the Hinterlands and take a picture of Grammerita. Take the picture back to her and she lets you have the book.

Take the book back to Troyas and that starts the Stave of the Equinox quest...

For those that are not understanding. You have to first #1 do the quest in ferelas where you kill the ogres. After you cash that quest in the person standing next to that quest giver will then have the ! mark above him. Speak w/ him and he will tell you to talk to the lady in Rut'theran Village
