The Sparklematic 5200!

Insert a Grime-Encrusted Item into the Sparklematic 5200, and be sure to have three silver coins to start the machine.
Grime-Encrusted Object
  •
Required Money: 3

Description

This contraption stands out amongst the gnomes holding out against the madness outside the room. A small plaque on the device reads "The Sparklematic 5200", followed by some text:

"Grime and residue ruining your sparklies? The Sparklematic 5200 puts the shine back in shine-tastic! Insert the item you wish to clean and deposit three silver coins in the coin slot. Give the Sparklematic 5200 a moment for operation, and voila! Your valuables will emerge clean and shiny!"

While doing these steps look out for the grime encrusted stuff (really easy to find of the troggs)
1) Enter the front of Gnomeregan instance
2) Continue forward until getting to big cliff edge
3) Take a left and follow around the circle
4) Ignore the first side entrance to the left, that goes to a fun 'Quest' which ive you some fireworks
5) Continue around the circle until you get to the second side entrance to the left, take it thru there
6) Go to the end and turn right
7) Head towards the stairs and go up them into the Clean Room
8) On the side of this room there is a robot which, when you mouse over it, makes the mouse turn into a cog
9) Click it and finish the quest
10) Continue your way through Gnomeregan as per usual

There is a few other things in the clean room like: a mail box and an engineer which sells guns *i think* and I'm not sure whether he repairs armor too, I haven't been in nomeregan or a while. Have fun and enjoy your cleaning (3s per clean)

Open up the dialog (quest) with [The The Sparklematic 5200] and use this macro to make the delivery and completion faster:

/click QuestFrameCompleteButton
/click QuestFrameCompleteQuestButton
/click StaticPopup1Button1
Simply spam the macro to finish the quest after you have right-clicked. Simplest and fastest way to deliver all the items is by running between by the two machines close to each other and spamming the macro, saves time on the dialog itself. Oh also, one more thing.. there is a vendor close by (Tink Sprocketwhistle) so pay him a visit to sell some items you loot that you don't wanna keep! ;)

This quest is for those who enjoy a gamble. For your three silver coins you have a chance of receiving a nice ring, otherwise you'll receive assorted materials used in engineering, as may be expected in a Gnomish area. Unfortunately Horde can't use the mailbox but Alliance can stack and mail the materials for later sale or use.

I had to thott this one myself, although i dont see answer in this list. All you do is try each of the machines. only 1 will work and only when
you have no more grime crusted junk..just ring. For me it was the one on opposite wall from steps, closest to next set of stairs. Hope this helps.
And yes both factions can do this quest.
lvl 28 priest horde/ bronzebeard
(had a lvl 60 take me thru-) )

There are three Sparklematic machines in The Clean Zone, an area defended by some gnomes beside the dormitories.&nbsp It's inside the instance, fairly close to the entrance.

The dormitory is a short distance from the entrance to the instance, just go left at the first T-junction and skip the first passageway to the left. (which dead-ends anyway) Upon entering the next passageway to the left you will see three troggs and "The Dormitory" on your screen.

Yes, Horde can do this quest. I'm not sure how useful it is to repeat, considering it takes 3s to clean an object which is only ore, stone, or crap item. I got a single bullet, for instance.

I have done all that I needed to to complete this quest. I've cleaned about 40 grime encrusted objects and have recieved various items that I have removed from the gift wrapped box. Now the quest sits in my quest log saying it is complete. Is there anything else I need to do with this quest?
P.S. Ozzie is still bugged. (The Day After Quest)

If you get exalted reputation with the faction of who's mount you wish to ride, you can purchase a mount not usual for your race. (you can't get horde mounts if you are alliance though, and vice versa).

Thats why they have cloth quartermasters to donate to. you get faction with the city you donate cloth to.

First of all the only ones that can ride the Mechanostriders are Dwarves and Gnomes, Dwarves need Exalted though. Second the Horde can get into Gnomer through the warp in Booty Bay, but since you would probably be like lvl 30+ by the time you go to BB theres very little point to putting it there. And third, there are three machines in the clean zone and only one works so just click one and if nothing happens try another.
