Description

"Salutations - I am a guardian of entry. Unless you have the Plates of Uldum already integrated with your disc set, I will not allow for entry into the Uldum compound."

The appearance of the Stone Watcher of Norgannon must be the reaction that was hoped for in sending you out to the Tanaris desert with the platinum discs. As instructed, you will need to find out what the story behind the Stone Watcher is before continuing on.

This one took me a couple tries here even with the above explainations.. I hope this clears it up for others.

Click the pedestal .. then the ghost will appear.

Talk to him&nbsp ( all the way through)

Once he is done talking ..click the pedestal again .. this will complete the quest.

Before you leave.. click the pedestal one more time to get the quest to go to IF.

Sorry Horde dont know where you go hehe.

If for some reason you find yourself with the quest to "find out more" about whatever it is he wants you to find out more about, BUT the hologram has dissapeared, just abandon the quest to "find out more", click the pedestal, talk to the hologram through all his text bubbles, and then click the pedestal again.&nbsp You should now have the quest to go back to IF.

Very poorly done quest, although nice xp :).

Just keep talking to the guy to complete the quest. Then touch the pedestal again to receive the discs that takes you back to IF/TB.

The best way I found is to take the side path. If you are on the south side of the Southmoon Ogre ruins there is a path that runs up the mountain and comes out right near the pedastle. There is one giant near but if you are of sufficient level you can avoid aggro and move right up to the pedastle. There is one roamer to avoid as well.

Just click the pedastle, talk to the Stone Guardian, click him again to listen to his story, then click the pedastle again to retrieve your disks. Nice easy 4700 xp at level 49.

One thing I forgot to mention is to be careful because the pedestal is surrounded by level 49 elite giants but they can be easily avoided by making your way to the left when facing the Uldum door.

yust talk to the stone ghost thingy and he tel u the purpose (u most select the white bubble talk thing) after this quest u get some that leads u to IF

if you have only an empty pedestal without any ghost guardian, abandon the quest and re-accept it. you will them see the ghost guy. interact with him, and THEN interact with the pedestal.

i've spoken to the guy twice and it says "complete" next to 'learn the purpose of the stone watcher' however i've gotten no direction to go to IF and i'm stuck with a 'complete' stone watcher quest in my log. is there a lvl req for the next part of the chain that im' not eligible for?

Don't forget to touch the pedestal after you're done talking to him. I made the mistake of just talking to him and going back up to Thunder Bluff without touching the pedestal after the talk.

If you forgot to talk to the guardian again and didn't reclaim the disks, all is not lost. Simply abandon the quest then inspect the pedastle and the guardian will appear. Proceed as normal.

after you click the base installing the discs the first time the ghost appears.&nbsp talk with him and he says find out more.

Talk to him again and he wil have a "story bubble" option just like the ghost image in Uldaman.&nbsp Once finished it says completed next to the quest. you access the pedastal and it says access the pedestal one more time to get the discs back which says to return to TB

SO..

After you get back to TB and talk to the various people what next?
It says thanks and come back at a later time which i did and there's no
further instructions.....

The Wizard is busy come back tomorrow-

Talk to the Watcher until it tells you that you've completed the quest. Then click on the pedestal he's standing on again to complete the quest. Easy!

When u do this make sure u talk to the stonewatcher guy 2 times and get your discs back off the pedastal i did not and now have lost my discs so i must get them again or wait for someone else to call the watcher.

Good clues. Make sure you keep clicking on the speech bubble till the quest completed notice pops up. Be sure you click on the pedestal to get the "Return to Irronforge Quest" before you leave.

So then, what comes first, the chicken or the egg?

In short, when I'm reading both the quests "Stone Watcher of Norgannon" and "Lore Keeper of Norgannon" they both seem to indicate that the disks are needed to continue.

I've read one post in here where someone strongly suggests that one should have the Lore Keeper quest BEFORE going into Uldaman. The Wather quest indicates the disks are needed first, then we'll end up going to Thunder Bluff (Harde version).

Where does one get the quest for the disks that are found inside Uldaman?

i accessed the pedestal first and got a quest to learn more about the pedestal. then i immediately talked to the Watcher who appeared and listened to his whole story, which completed the quest i'd just received. THEN i accessed the pedestal again, got the discs back, and the quest to return to IF.

whew... it was pure luck that i got this far, as the quest you get to learn more about the pedestal - once completed - tells you nothing about how to proceed.

Full process:
Arrive, use pedestal, talk to the Watcher clicking through all the text, use the pedestal again, go back to the Explorer's league in Iron Forge, done deal.

Completed this as a lvl.47 (rogue). Went round the side passage to Uldum, bypassing the elite giants to get to the pedastal.
I was expecting to draw aggro from the 48/49s standing guard once I came out of stealth, but no such problem.
Just keep talking to the guy to complete the quest. Then touch the pedestal again to receive the discs that takes you back to IF.
Easy points !
Just watch out for the patrolling lvl.50 elite though :D

my story is i talk with the pedestrial and listen all is story and at the end he tell me i have to come back because i've been reschedule to an other time and i need the plates of uldum not the disk. i have to wait until the creator put some plate to our disposition.... and he lost me there so i finish to talk to him and my quest is complete but didnt receive any xp and it still in my quest log

When you have the Discs move out to Uldum. There's a Pedestal. Use it and the Watcher appears. Now talk to the Watcher himself, not to the Pedestal ^^ Click through the text and gain another lovely 4.7k EXP ^^

Was in the middle of talking to the guy when I had to move to avoid a wandering stone watcher.

When I got back it said "image dissapation in sixty seconds". The text just disappeared along with the image. How do I get the guy back?

I had a problem that i gained this quest and could not continue. After not getting anywhere, i tried abandoning the quest and using the Uldum Pedestal again. This time I was able to correctly talk to the Watcher and continue the quest as others have.

Hoping this helps any others who are stuck.
