Description

Recently, just before the Troggs surfaced within the site, we had uncovered a large number of strange, carved idols. But we didn't have the chance to study them, for soon after their discovery the Troggs chased us away from the ruins! And those idols have a strange effect on the Troggs. It makes them go berserk!

Bring me 8 idols - I want to study them, and I want them out of Trogg hands! You can find the idols on the Troggs infesting the site.

IT CAN BE DONE AT LOW LVL, but its really hard. I did it solo. But i died many times. The lvl 20 is very hard to dot and fear.

This is a very good grinding spot. These respawn within 1 minute or less. Any of the Troggs in this camp will drop the Idols.

The troggs are in near Ironband's Excavation Site around 65,69 until 72,66

Stay away from the diggers on this quest, go for the Beserk (100% drop) and Geomancers (around 30% drop). Diggers only drop about 1 every 10

Easy quest for a level 18 lock, they are so branched apart the most you'll ever have to deal with is three and that's if you don't pop curse of recklessness to keep 'em from running

i just ran back and forth between the two openings so i got alot of respawned ones.. it works pretty well since they spawn quickly and i got less chance of getting ganged up on

Found these off the Stonesplinter Diggers at the Ironband Excavation Site on the South West end of the lake.

My lvl 18 mage did this quest in one lap around the site and collected all the idols I needed. Got a bit crazy when they would respawn while I was in a battle already but did not die at all.

I did it as a lvl 14 NE Priest!
It was pretty hard, tho I died just once (because I saw a hunter and asked him for some Armor kits while I was fighting.. ^^)

Anyway, wasn't to hard... Just had to make sure to keep em coming 1 at a time! (If not, RUN!)
Had to kill a buch of em tho before I got the idols!

Did this with a 14 warlock, the 19's were hard because they resist so many spells at that lvl. The 17s/18s werent so bad, if you have any abilities to stop runners (ie curse of recklessness for warlocks) use that before they die. Pull solos and its not too hard. I had an unlucky pull deep in the camp and died once *just* before they turned around. Got some silver ores which is some worth some nice gold at my level.

Once I ran out of soul shards and tried my imp, didnt work...ran out of the camp and grinded for shards on those lvl 15 boars roaming around. I would say impossible with an imp (or at least very difficult). Voidwalker makes this easy (send him in to hold aggro).

i did it as a 14, but killed about six times. key is not to tangle w anything at 19 and over, and run if swarmed. when they go red, you die, so run if that happens. they will chase u into the camp. i found the 17 and 18 mobs were the ones that dropped idols.

This is a tough one, expect to die unless you are a lvl 20. Pulling well is key and the Berserk Troggs are lvl 20.

I did it as a lvl 14 Hunter, i only died Once, was a case of just gently cruising round the camp, and then using my pet to hold the bugger there while i nailed him.....the time i died i didnt see another trogg behind the wall, and both me and my pet got creamed. it took a while, but finally got it.

There are heaps of chances to get a trogg by itself, and hold it there with growl, an then nail it from a distance.
