Find the Prayer to Elune and take it to Astarii Starseeker in Darnassus.

Description

Will you assist me, mortal? Will you find the prayer to Elune?

As I stated, the prayer was etched onto a golden tablet. One of these idol worshipping scoundrels must have it on their person.

If you do recover my prayer, take it to Astarii Starseeker in Darnassus. It matters little that my faith has been rekindled after the countless malevolent actions that I have taken against this world and its inhabitants, but my prayer must be heard. Absolution is the last thing I expect.

Completed as a lv 47 Frost Mage with ease.
Quest was orange for me.
Got the item on first kill. very easy quest.

The guy and mobs are around 30.30 just west of thorium point.
The path up there starts at 27.33
Just east of the cave at Firewatch Ridge.

Geomancer @ cords.26,26. I'm a level 53 Pally, easy&nbsp
kill.

The quest isn't too bad.

First we sort of sacrificed ourselves to get the quest.&nbsp After first getting the quest you have to talk to him again to complete it, than you can get this quest to kill idol's before the item drops.

After dying once, you can do a short 1 minute walk to your corpse, and rez out of range of the idols.&nbsp There are about 2 or 3 non-idol guys you should kill just so you don't end up pulling a bunch.&nbsp Afterwards we killed the idols with single pulls pretty easy, and it dropped on the 4th kill.

The leather shoulders sell for 84s and and the plate wrist sells for around 50s (prices from this website). Both have a 100% chance of disenchanting to dream dust.

So I'd say that unless you want to wear one of these, take the leather shoulders.

i got the Prayer to Elune and Symbol of Ragnaros: from one geomancer co'ord of that mob was 24'26

Go to Searing Gorge take a right out of Thorium Point to Firewatch Ridge just before the cave mouth there's a path up into the hills. Take it and follow the torches while avoiding the elites. There's a pool of lava there (with the Mysterious Artifact for Release Them inside - hint, stand on the Artifact to 'open' it). On the opposite side of the pool to where you start, you'll see the ghost of a chained Elf.

Alternatively go to around loc 29,28.

As of Patch 1.10, this quest grants 1g 81s for Level 60, in addition to the item reward options. Also, 15 Darnassus reputation. XP unknown, as it is no longer reported at Level 60.

i must have killed 30+ of these elites now and i still haven't had it drop...its such a pain because im a level 52 fire mage and the fire guard have lots of fire resist...

I don't know if they drop off anything else, but I got mine off one of the twilight mobs in the area where you get the quest. It makes sense with the quest text, but the lack of an elite tag makes it a little bit confusing.

This quest is listed as non-elite in the logs, but you will have to fight elites to get the drop, just an FYI.
