what is the point of this quest? - a friend and I got this drop from Zaricotl in Badlands, and upon completion, we got 25 xp and Kravel introduced himself. That's it. I don't get it.

seems to be some sort of left over quest-giving-items test item since it has the tags and no icon etc.
