Ogre Head On A Stick = Party

Take Gor'tesh's Lopped Off Head and place it at the top of Dreadmaul Rock. Look for a soft dirt mound to plant the pike.

Description

Just one last thing you must do, soldier.

I've taken the liberty of putting Gor'tesh's head on a pike. Now all you have to do is take this head to the top of Dreadmaul Rock and stick it into the ground. Once you do that, watch as those cowardly ogres run for their lives! After you've had your fun, come back to me and I'll reward you for all of your hard work.

<Oralius seems to be losing touch with reality.>

Hard way
1. Goto 75,37 its on the North west side of the mound.
2. Go up the path and cross the rope bridge.
3. Kill about 5 lvl 53 orgers (or stealth).
4. Right click on dirt by cave.

Easy way
1. Goto 78,51
2. Climb the magma trail. Kill 1 lvl 52 elemental.
3. 30 feet Past top of magma trail at 82,47 there is a dark crack you can climb up.
4. Guarded by 2 orgers.
5. Right click on dirt by cave.

You'll find a "Soft Dire Mound" right behind some altar (81,46). Right click it to plant the Gor'tesh head.

Access the mountain from the rope-bridge on the NW side, wind up to the cave near the top.&nbsp You'll see a stone grave in front of the cave, go past that to&nbsp near the S edge of the cliff, there is a small dirt pile there.&nbsp Plant the head, watch and laugh.

The gloves sell for 86s69c and the ring sells for 65s42c, neither of which are great. Both will disenchant into dream dust, but the gloves also have a chance to yield lesser eternal essence.

Easiest way to get up there is to follow the lava from the SW, stick to the right, and when u hit a dead plant "climb" up the wall, kill1 ogre on top of the dirt, and u got it =)

Confirming 81, 46 as the location - it's near the cave with the grave, close by to the rope bridge as other posters have stated previously.

Pretty obvious once you see the pike with the ogre head on it. 5250 xp (I think) at level 56.

The mound of dirt is right in front of the cave on top of Dreadmaul Rock. It's usually being guarded by an Ogre.

If you're a Rogue, you can Sap the Ogre and plant the stick.

Once you place the head-on-a-stick in the ground, all nearby ogres will receive the debuff "Firegut Fear Storm" (http://classicdb.ch/?spell=13488), which is essentially just Fear that doesn't break when attacked.

From the south/southeast edge of the mountain, you can go up the side of the mountain straight to the mound of dirt.&nbsp From where the ramp starts, just look around on the south side.&nbsp The hill doesn't always look climbable, and it may take a few tries, but you can go straight up.

I used the bridge at 77,38 to get up to the top of Dreadmaul Rock. The actual dirt pile to plant the head is at 81,47. You'll need to fight a few ogres along the way.

Soloed it, and just as I planted the head, a 54 Rarespawn appeared near the edge, killed him for a +24 Healing cloak.

You have to fight your way to the top - nothing too difficult I had to face about 5 mages and 2 or 3 brutes.

My advice is to never fight the brutes with your back to the edge of a cliff, I made this mistake and got thrown off, and had to walk back - luckily there were no respawns.

Decent gold reward, especially if you sell the item, I would get the gloves because they vendor for a higher price.

Solo'd as a level 51 Warrior.

Nice little quest duet. Killing wasn't hard at all (currently lvl 56 arcane mage) He was lvl 54 or 55 and not elite. Had one companion character with him.

Looked at different options for going on top and going up the wooden bridge was short and sweet. about four more ogres to get to the mound of earth. Sprinted out and ran up the hill to turn it in.

Ogres are one of my favorite things in the game - they so love thinking they get to kill me! at least they die doing something they love....
