Humble Beginnings

Go to Baros Alexston's house in Westfall and search for his compass, then return it to him in Cathedral Square of Stormwind.
A Simple Compass

Description

It seems an eternity since I was a boy working the farm in Westfall. They say you can never go back, and it's true. Doubly true in my case, my family's home has been burned down and taken over by thieves.

I have spoken with my father about the fate of some of my possessions, including my first compass. He was unable to save them. However, he also says that they should be hidden away on the farm.

You'll find the Alexston Farmstead west of Sentinel Hill. Perhaps you could go and retrieve it for me?

Burned out House is at Alexston Farmstead.&nbsp It is on the west side of the zone, directly above Moonbrooke on the map.&nbsp This is for those of you like me who don't use coordinates.

The compass is found inside a small chest located in a small house on Alexston Farmstead, Westfall.

I have soloed this 5 times since Christmas 2007 and never with a toon higher than level 17. Go to the back side of the burned house. There is a single patrol along the back side up very close to the house. Kill him. Then jump over the back wall of the house. Approach the box slowly. Stop as soon as the cursor indicates you can open the box and open from there. Now go back out the way you came in. The mobs out front and to the side didn't notice me at all.

You can get to the compass without going into the ruins of the house.
There were three mobs out front for me(A bit hard), only 2 at the back. I killed them, then stood as close to the wall as I could. managed to open the box containing the compass

36.54 , its a chest in the burnt down house that you gotta go into , its really simple if you're rogue, just use stealth , open the box, take the compass and sprint away from there ~

you can actually get to the box by jumping in through the back off a piece of wood and once inside the ruined house they will not see thus you are able to get the compass without killing everything around you and you dont even need to agro the two next to the wall
