The quest is only offered if you're a miner. I think you might also need to be 230, not positive but I dont remember being offered the quest til 230+

after you donate are you able to smelt? I didnt read, just donated.. We lost fight fter and doors locked..

Gold bar, PST
I was gunna try and wait out the price of gold bars... but when the time came to goto the instance... cost me like 12 gold for 20... Damn jacked up prices on my server :@

If i don't remember wrong... You need to talk to the dwarf next to the "thing" you donate to, after you have donated. Not 100% sure but..

The bowl appears at the Dwarfs left side (not your left side) hovering above the ground. Gloom'rel is the second dwarf on your right when you enter the room. Also, if you dropped mining for whatever reason and originally learned how to smelt dark iron, when you return to BRD and talk to Gloom'rel a second time he remembers you and reteaches you Dark Iron smelting for free (i.e. no mats required).

Mining Dark Iron requires 230 skill in mining, but the only way to learn how to smelt it into bars is by speaking with Gloom'rel, a ghost in the Summoner's Tomb in the Blackrock Depths and giving him 20 Gold bars, 10 Truesilver bars, and 2 Star Rubies. After you speak to Gloom'rel, a bowl will appear at his feet. Touching the bowl will give him his tribute. Speak to him again, and he will teach you to smelt.

It is important to talk to Gloom'rel before any other dwarf, as Hate'rel will begin the event to open the door, requiring you to kill Gloom'rel. Dead dwarves make poor teachers.
