Description

We have a real infestation problem to the west. Tunnel rat kobolds have moved into the foothills, setting up dens and fouling our land with their filth!

We want them eliminated. Hunt them, bring me their ears and earn their bounty.

You can find tunnel rat kobolds and their dens west of Thelsamar, littered along the mountainside.

a good place to do it is at (25,31)... that place took me about 10 mins to get all 12 ears.

As said, these can be found west of the Loch and specifically west of the road and also near the Silver Stream Mine and the dam. This quest can also be done together with the quest 'Filthy Paws' (http://classicdb.ch/?quest=307), which can be picked up at the northern guard tower in Loch Modan.

There is also a camp west of Thelsamer at 25,43 to be exactly, pull them carefully and be prepared to fight 3 at one time

I did this one as a lvl 19 pally just for the heck of it, and it still took me a good half hour and about 40-50 kills for me to get all 12 ears.&nbsp If your interested in a little bit more of a challenge, I'd say head over to Silver Stream Mine.&nbsp You can also do another quest in here so you can knock out two for one.....

Or you can go west out of thelsmar (sp) and hit that little camp about 30 seconds out of town. They spread out a bit and are closer to the town in case you die

Yellow quest gave 875 experience.
There is a hut they roam around about 27, 38. Very short walk North West of Thelsamar.

The drop rate for ears by higher level Tunnel Rats (Digger, Geomancer and Surveyor) are significantly lower. So, stick with the low end Tunnel Rats (Tunnel Rat Scouts appear to have the highest drop rate).

In addition to the places mentioned below, Tunnel Rat camps on the western side of the road are also good places to hunt for the ears.

Went just west of Thelsmar and then North. Every rat I killed dropped ears, so i'm either lucky or everyone else was looking in the wrong spot. Human Warrior Lvl 21, completed this in approx 2 minutes. :)

The droprate on the ears is friggin low, don't know how much time i have to spend killing the mobs until i get all of them.
Killed almost 20 so far on my mage and got 1!

lvl 15 hunter did it w/ no prob plus make sure u have empty bags cause loot from these lil guys turn out good (like the fisherman knife) sels for 2 silver and like 17 copper i think

They are really kobolds and can be found north of Thelsamer. Their defense is pretty high and they will run away.

This is one of the suckiest quest there is. Drop rate is patheticly low, something around 1 in 5.
